Hey, I thought it'd be cool to start a Blockbuster Group. Everyone can share the movies they rented, and let us know if you'd suggest them or not.

 

Me and Joe are always renting movies, here are two we recently rented and I def suggest renting them too!

 

"An American Crime" (staring the girl from Juno)

"September Dawn"

 

Both are based on true events, and though their sad ( they are great movies.

we havent rented any movies in a long time cause we owe abot $40 in late charges. but hopefully after the strike we will pay it up and get back into it, we usually rent movies a lot!

We are movie freaks during the week. I can't wait to see "Strangers" with Liv Tyler in it. I heard it's good! Anyone see that one?

I saw baby Mama and both me and DH thought it was hillarious! I give it a 7/10

Great thread Jac! I love renting movies, but unfortunately, we have so many late fees I feel like a douche when I decline to pay them. LOL

 

We haven't watched one for a bit, so I will have to think about it.

 

As for Strangers- that movie looks scary and I don't need another reason to be paranoid about the strange noises at night. I can't wait to watch it though.

Let's see...

 

We recently rented "No Country for Old Men" (I think that's what it's called) - well, the cinematography was great I thought but I admittedly passed out half way through, but the guys stayed up to finish it and said they were very disappointed (and they were the ones who wanted to see it!)

 

Just saw Baby Mama last night. It was just OK we thought - expected a little more.

 

We rented The Great Debators with Denzel Washington and thought that was good.

 

Uhmmmm...

 

"Atonement" - well, we thought it sucked. Surprisingly.

 

Miss Pettigrew Lives Another Day - Martin passed out on that one. lol. It was ok. Different from what I expected. Kind of surreal, like you're reading a book that's not quite set in reality. Overall I guess I liked it though.

 

"The Other Boleyn Girl" - well, we saw it at the theater but it's out. I LOVED that movie!!! Two thumbs up!

 

We just got Be Kind Rewind starring Jack Black & Mos Def. My MOH keeps suggesting it, so we'll see... will let y'all know.

Hey girls, like the rest of you..we are film buffs too! maybe has something to do with the fact we both worked (and met!) in a cinema part-time while we studied!

Anyhooo...we have seen Strangers...and it isn't as good as it looks! Have you seen "Funny Games"? It has the same kinda twist that that movie had...just not as good! I thought Strangers would have been great as well, seen as Liv Tyler was in it...but its really not...very disappointing ending!

Saw the Hulk 2 at the weekend..enjoyed that! Its much better than the first one as well!

Hmmm. I'll have to check my ziplist. I do the dvd by mail (rogers).
