A major loss for family

i am posting this because I need a little support to get me through the next few days.

This year has been crazy.

As most of you know and my grandmother passed away in April and you were all so nice to me and made me feel like i had somewhere to express myself. I end up being the rock a lot and because of that friends and famiy think i am strong shoulder to lean on .... But behind closed doors sometimes I feel like I need a shoulder also. You were all there for me during that time and I thank you....

So just recently my aunt on the same side went in for a lung surgery and she was supposed to be home recouping in 4 days.... Well there were some complications and ended up in a coma and then passing away.

My dad is a mess and i am in shock. The wake is tommorow and I have seen my cousins but am still in shock... This was not supposed to happen. She was onlyu 59 and I think that is part of my shock. I put myself into my cousins shoes and can't imagine loosing one of my parents at this stage in my life.... My heart goes out to her and the family..

On the other hand, Aunt Fran was close to me and she was so sweet and loving to everyone all the time. She never spoke bad about anyone and loved you unconditionally. I just feel like we just went through all this and here we are again a few months later burying my aunt. What a mess.

Thank you for letting me get this off my chest. I feel so sad and so stressed.

wow that's got to be really hard to take, and so hard when people look to you to always be the strong one ... i'm so sorry! you definitely have the forum for support. hang in there!

be proud that your wedding will offer your family a joyous occasion to get together for, and know that your dearly departed will be there in spirit.

I am so sorry to hear that you and your family are going through this. It is never easy, and when you have to do it more than once in a short period of time, I think it is a bit harder.

If you need to talk, I am here. Don't hesitate to lean on my shoulder if you need to! You can't always be there for everyone else and not have anyone for you to lean on.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
