Help Pick Angela's Dress

Recommended Posts

Angela, I have been having the same problem, going back and forth about is this dress too much, should I get something more flowy, etc...,but you know you really have to get what you want.

I am partial to #3 because I tried it on and loved it and was this close to ordering it on ebay the other night from someone that cancelled their wedding, but I didn't and lost it and I keep second guessing my decision, I may still end up with it. I love sparkle and I also love that this dress is so simple besides that sparkle, its the perfect combination (at least for me!) I think you look great in it, the other one I liked was #2 with the sash.

I love love # 2!! It looks so elegant and understated. Although I don't liek the color sash - just not my taste. But I can see how pictures will look nice if you coordingate your sash with his tie or BM Dresses.

At least you have a lot of choices to choose from!

I like #2 too, and the ruching (sp?) of the dress goes well with the BM dresses. And any tailor can make a simple satin sash, so don't feel like you are stuck with those colors. (Anyone with a sewing machine and an iron can - shoot I'll make it for you if you want! :) )

My 2nd choice is #3, only because it's beachier. I love #1 as a dress but it seems just a little out of place on the beach.

Janet,

Did you feel your dress was beachy even though it was satin? I had your pics on my "wish list" when I went dress shopping. I didn't think strapless would look good on me or the tie back.. I ended up loving both, but I love the neckline on your dress and of course the sash.

You're right about having the sash made.. it was just a thin sash, nothing fancy.

I agree with everyone about #2-I think your face seems so lit up in that dress and that is what you should look like. I agree with picking a sash that matches, you can get a sash anywhere, you can even go to a fabric store and find wide enough ribbon and cut it well. But I have to say that I think if the back is a tie up I don't know that a sash is necessary, and really pretty broach would be good too.

OK, I like both #2 and #3. However, I would say number two. First of all, you look beautiful in it. And second, that's the dress that you look happy in! My mom can always tell if I like something by the way that I stand and the expression on my face. In number two you look great!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
