Help Pick Angela's Dress

Recommended Posts

lol thanks girls. I was actually pretty happy in all the dresses that I posted. Dress #2 really was the 2nd dress I tried on and I was really excited at how thin I looked. I was making wierd/plain faces in the other ones because I was listening to the lady helping, talk about each dress and discuss options.

The only ones I wasn't really happy about were the ones I tried at David's Bridal. I got into each dress myself and the lady helping us kept leaving to help other people (she had two brides!)... and to top it off, it was really warm in the store.

#2 does have a broach on it, I'll be sure to get a close up. Very antique looking, which I did like alot.

I have an appointment at another salon tomorrow.. I'll post results.

Chiming in.....

I vote number 2!!!!!

I like it with or without the sash so you could totally wear it either way. You looked really good in all of them as far a fit was concerned.

Number 2 gives you so many "look" options. Good luck with the final decision.

I'm a little late, but I really like #3. The gathers at the waist are very flattering. However, I understanding your concerns about the "sparkles" in your pictures.

#2 also lookd fantastic on you. #4 is beautiful and would love to see a picture of you in it.

I agree with your friend, that you should get the dress that you WANT and that you LOVE. It's your wedding day and you can wear whatever dress you want to!

My FI is wearing a tan suit and a Tommy Bahama style suit and I'm wearing a full on beaded wedding gown. ....and, I'm going to feel beautiful in it!

Good luck! Looking forward to seeing which dress you choose!

Can I just say I hate when salons won't let you take a picture of you in a dress!! I have the world's worst memory and after trying on 6 dresses, I can't remember what the first one looked or felt like. lol good thing my girlfriend was there to take notes. So to add to my dress collection. I tried on this one.. It's a Maggie Sottero, Calla Lily.. loved everything about it except the fabric underneath. It felt like a heavy drape. There was flowy organza on top so it was weird to have it sooo structured underneath. I'm going to back to the first salon on Saturday to discuss options for fixing.. my other idea was to combine the top of one Casablanca with the back of another and add a lace up back.. what do you think?

See that's why you "don't" ask and have a friend help you in and out of your dress.. bring a camera phone.. :-) What they don't know, won't hurt them. lol.. I say if your trying to make a dress work, this I don't think you found "the one" yet. Keep looking, there is one out there that will make you feel great and you won't want to take it off..

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
