I will keep the Houston girls and Morgan's family in my prayers!
oh, they are right by galveston. I'm going to leave work now so i can call them. I hate hurricanes! I'm a ball of nerves.

i just talked to mike's dad. his mom evacuated, but her parents stayed behind. so mike's dad stayed with them. their house is very sturdy so only a tornado or flood should create a problem.

their town is the only in the area that didn't have mandatory evacuation.

i'm just waiting...

Jay's nieces junior high school has water in it already..... sad.gif

Also, Jay's brother's family lost power at around 7:30 which was way before the rain came....the wind must be crazy.

Morgan, let us know when you find out something. I will keep them in my prayers tonight...along with all the BDW girls in Houston...well, along with everyone in that area.

The news is reporting different stuff.... first, it's a Category 2 when it hits landfall, but then the path is supposed to even reach as far north as DFW with tropical force winds...

We just heard downtown Houston is getting 105mph winds and they're expecting a lot of damage to the skyscrapers... then I heard the path was 600 miles wide and the eye is almost 60 miles wide....

Frank's family lives in Beaumont and all of them evacuated up here. They stuck it out for Rita, and learned from that experience to get out while they could...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
