I am having a slightly different problem than some brides. I was originally hoping that we would have about 15 guests at our wedding. We are now up to 24 adults and 5 kids! I NEVER thought that this many people would be able to come to our wedding, but I guess the more the merrier!

Hi,

Which resort are you getting married at? I am wondering how you were able to reserve your wedding date so far in advance. Every travel agent i talk to tells me that i can't reserve my date for at least another 3-6 monthshuh.gif i need to reserve the date so that i can send guests a definte as to where the wedding is and when! how has this worked for everyone?

Thanks!

Cinco De Mayo is more of an American holiday. They might have some fun things going on at your resort but other than that you should have no problems

I did electronic STDs in December. I sent them through my travel agency website, and then sent another e-mail with the link to our website where all the information to prepare the trip are.

I will only send invites via regular mail. They are on their way wink.gif I have tried to start gathering all the addresses when I sent the STDs, but mind you, people did not even answer to this (so RSVP forget about it). So I sent back emails two weeks ago and then reminders this week and then one last reminder yesterday and got all my addresses since this morning. FI has to do some trimming and perforating today - I left all the print-outs at home when i left this mroning.

A lot of sites propose electronic STD designs : Davids bridal, brides.com, the knot... Given that you are now so close to the date, I would either skip it and send the invites directly, or send an electronic one right away !

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
