We sent out our invites last week with RSVP by Feb. 1st. We're getting married on the same day! :)

Also, our TA just told us last week that the prices are going up for resorts in RM. Did anyone else hear about this? Apparently, She still has rooms available at our originally quoted rate, but she thinks the rates will go up by end of year. We're sending out an email tonight to everyone to encourage them to at least put their deposit down for the room as soon as possible to guarantee the lower rate. Hopefully that'll get them booking....:) We already have 40 people booked! Yay!

I know the guy for our AHR said to make sure the guests have 2 months to RSVP. I'm not sure if that counts for a DW, but it seems a good rule of thumb. I'd set the latest you want people to book and count back 2 months and a week or so from there.

I didn't do formal invites for our actual wedding. We did more word of mouth. We have 21 cruising including ourselves so far. I gave the procrastinators a cut off of Jan 31! After that they can find there own transportation to the wedding and they're not getting a OOT Bag!!!

I don't think you are behind at all. I'm almost exactly where you are, except my invites are done. We are sending them out right after the first of the year. I also need all of my accessories, more OOT bag filler, welcome letter, dj playlist, to select flowers and music, etc. I would say you are doing fabulously!!! You even have your seating chart and GUESTS BOOKED! I would say you are ahead of the game in many ways. Way to go! woot.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
