I finally have a dress! I don't really have anything else yet though! I am forcing my FI to make some decisions by the end of the month so we can at least firm up the date. Then I can get a ton of other stuff done like STDs & such.

Wow... Ya'll sound like ya are on top of your Game!!!!

I am getting married May 16, at the Iberostar Del Mar and ya just made me feel like puking - hahaha!!!

Half of ya already got welcome bags (I think that's what OOT stands for - can u tell i am new to this) put together - WOW WOW WOW!!!

I got engaged like 2 yrs ago and ya still got me beat!
          I do have:
the date and hotel (which was the hardest decision ever - 4 serious)
          ceremony/reception location
          our stay paid for
          the guest list
deposits on the guests through our Travel Agent
          my dress/veil
          maybe some shoes
          bridesmaid dresses
          photographer (Citalli thru Claudia Rodriguez)
          Resort DJ
and yep that's about it - Sad huh!
save the dates went out 2 months ago

I don't know if I should send invitations although I said I would on the save the date which was a pretty detailed package - i mean package it was a .10 oz box! It came with brochures on the hotel choices Iberostar Del Mar, Grand, and Lindo. A starfish with ribbon and tag save the date and some other frills. A letter describing all their choices and who they must go through our TA plus additional information and prices. Also, in the letter our TA, due to limited airseats and rising fuel prices, wanted all our guests to secure a deposit with her before Aug 23. So everyone who wanted to come already booked. So that's my delema (sp)... My save the dates were kinda like invites because they had a rsvp date on them - right So do I send Invitations (I said on the std letter "formal invite to follow") my fiance says just to send invitations to those people that already booked (my invitations are kinda expensive we are doing message in a bottle invites just cuz they are a keepsake too) (I think that's kinda stupid -what do ya think)

Umm, question for you gurus: when you decided on your invitations when did you make the rsvp date for And when will you send your invitiations out?

Holler May 2009'ers!!! Today is Novemeber 1st. We're on the 6 month countdown now! My date twins and I will be the first to go on May 1st...

I'm hopefully sending my invites out right around the new year. I'm asking people to RSVP by February 15th. It sounds like you are in a unique situation. Is there any chance any other family or friends will jump on board when you send the invites? If not, you might think about sending an invitation/pre-wedding mailing. There are lots of examples on this site of what girls have sent out to their guests prior to the wedding. You can include luggage tags, fun facts about the destination, etc. I would say it just depends on if you RSVP list is finalized or not. Good Luck!

Ugh, we are working on our AHR list. We aren't even done and we have over 200 people and the place only holds 200! I know quite a few people I am inviting won't come but it is the "courteousy" invite. I am so glad we are doing a DW so I can actually enjoy my wedding day!

We're having our "meeting" on Tuesday. My mom is coming over with her list, along with my FMIL. This way we know how many are invited and we can start to get our invites printed.

I also booked my BD shoot for March 17! On Tuesday we're adding a few more to our cruise, which will bring us up to 21 adults and 2 kids.

I want my Ering diamond reset. The setting I wear now is the original setting he bought for me years ago. We bought our wedding bands in St Thomas this past year. So I want my diamond reset into a band with channel set diamonds like our wedding bands so I can wear both. So we started pricing replacement settings. It's going to be my Christmas present =)

I really don't have alot I can do right now till after the new year. I'm giving a cut off of Jan 31 for the cruise. After that, they won't be getting an OOT bag or have a taxi to the hotel for the wedding from the cruise port. Nor will they have reservations for dinner at the gourmet restaurant after the wedding!

I'm desperating... still no venue that would meet my criteria... still looking ! At least, I picked up my dress and we found FI wedding band today. I also ordered my flowers. These are the only 3 things off the list... and there are only 6 months to go

Little by little, it will all come together. Don't stress out yet. You still have plenty of time

The dress was the hardest part for me!
I'm wondering...how did you order flowers if you aren't sure of the venue?
Don't stress! Just let everyone know that they need to be prepared to book rooms and flights once you decide on a venue.
