A couple people were talking about that a couple pages back... Summary: Some are trying to get them out late October/early November with an RSVP date of February 1st. A couple people already have invites out, but they skipped the STDs (I think Kristy! was one of these brides), dunno about that RSVP date.

I was going to go for early January with an RSVP of March 1st, but now I'm joining the bandwagon and getting moving on those invites! I'm loving the way they are turning out... I will post a draft when they are closer to being complete!

My wedding is in the beginning of May and I have the deposit down on the trip, and I have started making the invitations... other than that I havent done very much :S we are going to Blau Varadero.. I didnt think that the whole 'save the date' was necessary because people are going to need enough notice to be able to save for the trip. Im havent gotten my dress yet either because im getting it made for me and im going to wait closer to the date because Im on a strict 'get-back-into-shape' program HAHA!

We just received our paper from cardsandpockets.com and are going to work on them this week. I am aiming to get them out sometime in OCT and RSVP for FEB. I want to get a general idea and be able to budget stuff as well.

I didn't do an actual invite for our cruise wedding. I did an email to my family stating we where getting married in Bermuda and the info about the cruise. The FI's family we used word of mouth. There's only 2 people, my godfather and his wife who will "possibly" attend from my side. His family there's possibly 9 adults and 3 children! I wish they would just put a deposit down already! Then we have a couple we're friends with that may go, but they're already about to book so that's not a huge deal!

I am however giving a cut off of January 31. If you don't have atleast a deposit down by then, you may have to find your own taxi to the wedding resort from the port, and you sure as hell aren't going to have a OOT bag! February 1 I'm starting to order all my stuff for my OOT bags and my personalized sports bottles!

I'm just starting to get supplies ordered to make my boarding pass invites- I want to get them sent out sometime in October, but... who knows if that will happen. I guess November will be good enough!! I just need to get moving on stuff- this thread shows me just how much I DON"T have even started that I need to get moving on!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
