Awesome choices!! LOVE the wedding dress you picked!! I hope to be posting some BM dresses this weekend :) I told the girls to pick what they like and we will decide for sure on the color :)

thanks! my dress was definitely NOT what i thought i was going for ... i was looking for something MUCH more casual, but that one made my mom cry! and i told my girls they could get short dresses just off the rack somewhere and save money, but they chose to go to david's and get long dresses. the whole formality level of my wedding just took a leap!

Whew, Ok I think I am almost done with the major tasks!

 

I ordered my dress last week, it is the total opposite of what I thought i wanted, but I just love it and on top of that I found a chapel length veil that I absolutely love...a little much for the beach but I don't care!

The bridesmaid dresses are picked out and will be ordered next week. Dinner, flowers and my bookings are taken care of so I just have flights, oot bags and invitations left to do!

 

Oh and I need to lose about 40 lbs so I had better get moving on that too!

Overall things are FINALLY starting to move smoothly!

 

ETA: whoops, maybe I need to get my marriage certificate too...for some reason that one keeps slipping my mind!

Woo hoo, got some updates to my list!! Finally found BM Dresses! I love them :) See pic below! What do you girls think? Also I need some advice on what color to order my flower ribbons in. I think I want my ribbon to be white, the corsages for the mom's in white because it will go with what they wear, for the BM, GM & Groom, I think I would like the ribbon to be teal so they pop ot from what they are wearing but the flowers are white and fuschia, would that look ok? Here's a picture of the flowers (al white orchids instead of white & green) - help please :)

- Picked the date: May 8th, 2009

- Picked the location: Dreams Cancun

- Paid for the deposit 50% for Dreams Cancun

- Sent out STD's (June 1, 2008 )

- Ordered flowers from AA (PAID) will receive in April?

- Purchased wedding ring for me & FI will use his Grandpa's ring

- Put deposit down on room for FI & me for wedding stay and honeymoon

- Purchase flights

- Chosen BM and GM

- I have my invites on the go with RSVP Feb 2nd (Hitched Invites)

- Dress is ordered and will arrive Jan 16

- Shoes & purse purchased - 2 pairs of shoes & 1 pair of flip flops

- Something blue - panties (4 pairs to pick from so far)

- Garters (Received)

- Crystals & Starfish for my cake topper (DIY - done)

- Cake cutter & server (Received)

- Champagne flutes - not taking these to DW

- Wedding bubbles on order & Matchbooks on order

- Luggage tags (done) & items to send an update to those who book purchased

- DIY Place cards (received), DIY table frames (received), coasters ordered (2 starfish stamps, embossing and ink)

- CD's to make favor for guests

- Lined up a puppy sitter for our little baby for entire trip

- BM monogrammed bags ordered

- BM Dresses on order - Alfred Angelo in Cafe? I believe

Left to do:

- Order a veil

- OOT bags for guests and stuff for BM & GM and ring bearer

- FI's attire TBA waiting till Feb/Mar to find Linen suits

- Groom and GM attire

- Finish paying for room for wedding & honeymoon (about $800 more till paid off)

- Table decor (candles, starfish & rose petals), menu cards, table #'s, etc

- Guest book & pen

Good job on your planning! Question, does teal go with anything else in your color scheme? Does it match the BM and Groom? I think it might be a little odd if it doesn't fit the overall color scheme... If you want a color to pop, I think I would do with green. It will match the stems and look natural but still stand out against a white shirt or khaki suit (not sure what the guys are wearing). That's just my two pesos!

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
