Ayita - can you please come over and talk some sense into my mom. She is stressing and feels that we should consider canceling. She doesn't want to feel responsible for ppl coming to our wedding and getting sick. Now Europe has issues a travel advisory and we have a lot of ppl traveling from Spain, Israel and France. I keep going back and forth between being calm and FREAKING OUT

OMG ladies ... my wedding day is so close I don't know what to do with myself.

 

I thought I was doing so well last week ... getting stuff DONE but now it all seems so overwhelming!!!

 

I think the biggest thing that's bothering me is the OOT bag stuff and gifts for my parents and my MOH. My MOH has done SO much, but parents even called me last night to say they are getting her something because she's been so amazing throughout!

 

We're in a similar situation as Jax with our BM as he's currently in China and we haven't heard from him in a week or so... FI is reluctant to change his witness but we're running out of time. This week is our cut off to change our witness info for the resort ... it's SO frustrating to deal with this plus everything else wedding-related.

 

I can't focus on anything and I sure as hell can't focus on work ... which is very difficult in my profession as I'm supposed to be Ms. Attention-to-Detail (I'm an editor). *sigh*

 

I'm SO glad you girls are here ...

 

Oh and for all of you going to Mexico: Just don't watch the news. As an insider in the journalism world I know for a fact that the media just latches on to these stories and makes them seem much worse than they are: If it bleeds it leads, don't ever forget that!!!! So, just be cautious (hand sanitizer, wash your hands often, maybe bring Vit C and ecinachea - which I apparently can't spell). It'll all be fine though ... this is just another scare and we can ALL get through it!!!

I am totally freaking out and need to vent here!!!! This is not wedding related, but couldn't happened at a better time not!!! I had a sinkhole in my street behind my driveway, called it in like two weeks ago to get it fixed. FI calls me to say our neighbor got a letter from the city of Davenport saying the sinkhole is caused by my neighbors and my sewer lateral and it is our responbitilty to fix. They are saying we have 5 days to fix it or they will hire there own contractor!!!!! I leave this Thursday for my destnation wedding!!!!

I Know right!! I swear more stuff has happened this month than I want to think about. At least I had my Bachleorette party sat and it was so much fun!!!! My friends got me a blowup man, we called Dan Jr. LOL. I will try and put a few pics on later.

I swear if one more person rings me and whines on about it i'm going to deck them lol I blew up at my aunt this morning and said right do you want to cancel? If you do it's costing you the whole holiday and i'm still going lol she said well i can't afford to cancel! so my response well shut the fuck up then you're doing my head in!! lol

 

I'm sorry for those that have had people cancel but god people think they live in a bubble and nothing will get them! It's bloody flu ffs!! lol

 

I've got a missed call on my phone and its either FMIL or FI's aunt either way they can screw off I'm not ringing them back and feeding their paranoia they can ring FI lmao

Ha you and me are in the same boat!!! I am on my 3rd text and 18,395,493 phone call from idiots! I finally lost it on my 4th phone call from my mother and told her to cancel she's an f-ing idiot it's the FLU not eboli stop watching a twisted tail on cnn and go to the center for diesease control but whatever she does to stop calling me! I f-ing hate dumbasses. Until they close the borders I'll be in mexico sucking back corona's and a shit load of tequila i don't care if it's just ME- i need it after today!
