thanks ladies! and LMAO at the boobie request, tracy! if you'd like you are more than welcome to have the boob-looking lumps of fat that are growing out of my back ... they are much better suited for filling out someone's front! LOL

as for jewelry, i will actually be wearing the necklace i have on in the pic ... it's my "something old" and it's a marcasite necklace i used to steal from my mother ALL THE TIME. i don't think it's perfect looking with the dress, but it's "me." i just need to work on earrings and maybe a bracelet.

i have mon-wed off next week, so i'm hoping i can get a ton accomplished. i have a doctor's appt, a day at the state offices trying to get a certified copy of my birth certificate and an apostille (in person, so it's hopefully quick and easy), and all my BMs' and mom's final fitting. other than that it's DIY city, and i'm the mayor.

question for you ladies going to Mexico-are you worried about your wedding stuff? I didn't even think about saving all of my receipts for my OOT bag stuff. All the stuff is packed away in one of my suitcases and I just realized what if my stuff does not pass customs? Should I be worried about this?

I had no idea that you're supposed to bring receipts! Is that true?

All of our stuff is packed up in boxes and I doubt I have all the receipts for everything.

We are putting a label in the box listing all the items in each box + our names, our resort information (address, phone # etc) and we'll make it very clear that these are wedding favors. I don't want to have too many questions in customs.

I hope that's sufficient.

I can't believe we leave on Monday! Everything was cool until yesterday...FI didn't order photobook in time and now it won't come until after we leave! We have to have it delivered to a friend, who's coming on Thursday (hopefully it will arrive before Wed.). But, FI feels bad and wants to make a photoalbum as a back up...one more project!

I have SO much more to do now....shopping, getting hair done, nails, wax, facial, pack, GET MARRIED LEGALLY, download music, make cds, print table #'s, and "try to enjoy this time"...yeah right! :)

Lisa, your dress is so pretty! Looks like your fitting went better than mine. I swear I'm going to look like a jumbo muffin top. They just couldn't get it right on me yesterday. Oh well, I'm sure it'll be fine.

I don't have pics yet, but I LOVE my BM gifts!

I don't think I have even posted on this thread yet because reading what all you ladies have accomplished has overwhelmed me and made me feel so far behind but I think I am caught up!!!! I have most of my OOT bag stuff, just have to pick up travel mugs. I have my ceremony decorations and most of my table decor, I just have to sew the table runner. My fitting was this past Wednesday and it's almost perfect, she made the top just a tad too tight so 3 weeks to lose just a little more, too bad I can't chose where to lose it from, I need the back pudge to disappear. Still feel stress but haven't had too many of the dreams. The worst one was standing in the airport, in my dress realizing I didn't bring any decorations as I ran through the giftshop trying to find things to buy to decorate with.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
