Thanks Mel!!! smile03.gif You're such a sweetheart! I may be an idiot, but who is Donnie Brown? Is that a famous WC or something? I hate that I never have time to watch those shows. Stu fills my DVR with reality TV hahaha....

Donnie Brown is a huge WC in Dallas. I saw him on Whose Wedding is it anyways. He helped out on a Houston wedding and he was a snot- totally upset because the bride couldn't afford to spend enough $ on flowers to make them the way he wanted them to look. Anways, I just thought of you because you are having a texas wedding. :)

Ok, so my suggestion is just to make lists and go down them, checking off completed items as you go. I LOVE this forum, but something I think I waste time just hanging out on it. The other day I dedicated a night to Vista Print porjects, and I was amazed at how much work I actually completed. Now my Vista Print list is down to a couple items from about seven. Everyone just take a deep breath and take it one task at a time! :) We still have plenty of time.

I am with you ladies....I can't believe how close the wedding is getting...mine is almost exactly 3 months away, but, we leave on April 27th!

For some reason, I'm feeling pretty calm about everything...but, that's kinda scarying me because I feel like the month or 2 before, I might start to stress...I'm really trying to prevent that :)

Our RSVP date is on Feb 1st- this weekend! I'm waiting to get all my responses before I purchase all my OOT bag stuff. But, I pretty much know what I'm gonna buy already. Right now, working on the details- menu, decorations, music etc. It helps if I focus on just one thing at a time..

I really want to try to keep things as simple as possible...the more details, the more stress (for me :) )

i FINALLY sent my invites to the printer! *pats self on back*

i called the shop i ordered my wedding dress from to find out when it would be in, and they told me it isn't shipping from the manufacturer until LATE MARCH! holy crap ... i'm so nervous now ... why is it so last minute?! i guess i should count my blessings i have more time to find the perfect shoes and lose weight before my first fitting ...

groom purchased his wedding attire, and i am trying very hard to light a fire under my girls' butts to get their dresses ordered ... i even offered to front them the deposits, but still they've done nothing. i refuse to stress over it ... it's THEIR problem!

I just finished my save the dates last night! Unfortunately I didn't have PhotoShop so I created a ghetto looking concept one in Word and FI enlisted his Best Man to make it pretty for us. He's a web designer and did two hours of work on them and they are awesome! I'm paying him in margaritas :)

I just got engaged over Christmas, and we didnt' want to spend months planning a wedding I mean, once you know, why wait, right? :-) - thus the choice of Vegas.

I can't believe how incredibly easy it's been - in just about a month, I've booked my ceremony and reception sites, booked all travel, have my dress, veil and shoes, ordered invitations, booked all dinners including rehearsal, booked makeup/hair, ordered favors, planned the post-reception party. The only things left are:

-Send invitations and receive RSVPs (RSVP date is end of April)

-Make seating chart

-Design the ceremony & select music

-Order the last of the favors (which will be bottles of wine - we're trying to figure out logistics on that)

-Order cake

-Get dress alterations

-Order the program

-Finalize details with reception site

-Order catering for post-reception party

-Purchase attendant gifts

-Schedule and do my BD shoot

-Reserve dress steaming/cleaning/preservation

-Get wedding table cameras (want to wait until the last minute on these so the film stays fresh)

That's it! It's like I can just sit back and twiddle my thumbs - which is kind of nerve-wracking in and of itself - it feels like I need to be doing more. My FH is amazed that we are 90% done - now I feel like we should have scheduled an even sooner wedding.

Wow...Congrats! Sounds like you are doing great!! It took me a while to research about the photgraphers, videographers, Reverends, & music for our reception so it hasn't been as "bing bang boom" for us, but once certain decisions were made, I feel everything is coming together.

I can't believe how time is flying! I'm not stressed thankfully....just can't wait to be married! :-)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
