What size BM dress to order (6 weeks after baby)?

I'm due on February 24 and am in my friend's wedding on April 18. I have to order my BM dress soon and have no idea what size to get. I'm usually a size 4 in wedding/BM dresses. But I have no idea how much weight I will gain with this pregnancy and how fast I will lose it. If the baby comes on time, I will have 6 weeks from his/her birth til the wedding. I'm definitely planning to order at least 1-2 sizes bigger (it can always be taken in), but don't want to order too big or too small. Any suggestions?!?!?

I'm trying to remember what size I was after my kids. I'm usually a size 2 and because I breastfed both of mine I lost the weight pretty fast. But that's another thing to think about too, if your going to be breastfeeding your breast will get huge. So maybe a size 8would be good.

I was going to say it matters what size your bust normally is you need a dress size that will fit your bust and then you can take it in from there. My cousin is normally a size 4 and her waist went back to a size 4 when she had the baby pretty quickly but her bust needed a 8 and that was tight basically you will have to resize the entire dress so buy bigger just in cae

Thanks for the feedback girls. I think I'll definitely go with an 8. She's still undecided on which dress to get, so I'm not sure the style yet. My chest is usually very small and hasn't gotten too much bigger being prego, but I don't want to chance it.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
