JUNE 2009 BRIDES post

Recommended Posts

I'm definitely feeling overwhelmed. I have WAYYY to much stuff going on. Luckily I'm almost done buying things. I'm trying to find a cheap resource to print my menus but I don't want them printed on flimsy paper. I still need to order my sand ceremony vases and get the girls' shoes but that's it. Everything is done. My goal is to have everything done by June 1st so that I can spend the month just chillin.

Oh wow... I can't believe that I found this thread so late! I'm getting married on 20 Jun in CasaMagna. So far, we have nearly 80 guests booked, including those overseas guests who are on hold due to the flu issue. Hope everything will turn out fine!

Now my main challenge is to edit, print, and bind the catholic ceremony program (bilingual). I'm also finalizing a photo slideshow for the reception when we both are having our own photo time. Actually we just came back from Cancun last week for menu tasting, musician auditioning, etc. They all turned out to be better than what I expected!!! I'm soooo excited!!! can't wait!!!

So I have decided not to do Programs, we are 27 ppl (including us) so I just don't see the point, same goes for place cards. Any one else feel the same?

We are having a timeline and a newsletter, since I figure the resort is large and I have no idea if everyone will be staying near one another.

Oh and in 2 weeks, I am sending out a powerpoint presentation of Who is who. Anyone else go this route instead of a booklet?

Cheers!

We also decided no to programs. I've been trying to cut things off of my to-do list and that seemed like a good place to start! As far as place cards...I don't want my divorced parents and their new spouses to end up at the same table, so I'm going to do table assignments (let them pick their own seat) so they aren't staring daggers at each other or fighting to sit with us...we'll sit with his parents instead so no one feels slighted

Hello Girls,

We are all getting sooo close!

I am really trying to wrap up all loose ends and trying not to start anything new.

I have 1 last fitting (the week before we leave)

FI still needs a ceremony shirt

Just mailed pre-travel brochures (I loved these!)

OOT bags content bought and ready to be packed

Ceremony music still needs to be selected, purchased and organized

Ceremony readings, etc. still need to be confirmed

Bought 2 swimsuits (easy for most, trouble for me due to a VERY large chest!)

Those are the big things..

I have been having so much fun buying dresses to wear! Lots of fun but I need to STOP!

How is everything going for everyone?

WELCOME ALL NEW JUNE BRIDES!!

I don't have a lot to do but if I can just get the stuff that's left done then I'll be GREAT!! I still have the menu left to do. I'm working on writing up the ceremony program as well as putting the order together to have the ceremony fans put together. I STILL have to purchase the sand ceremony, which I'm determined to do this week. Um, what else...oh I'm working on the travel brochure. I think those are the 3 main things left. I'm having fun looking for dresses for Jamaica though I haven't found any yet. My next fitting is Tues. I'm getting the back changed to a corset. That's about it for now.

Here are the things still left on my list:

- create ceremony programs and tie them to the fans

- create, print and pack the welcome books

- update website with pre-travel information (doing this instead of sending brochures)

- find some earrings

- write vows

I'm sure there are other things but these are the items I can actually remember right now!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
