When are you sending out your wedding invitations? We just got our invitations and have them all ready to be put in the mail. I was just wondering how far in advance other brides were sending them out. My wedding is June 25th. I feel like it may be to early?

Thanks!
I sent mine out mid-March to give people time to still book if they wanted to come to the wedding.

Ok, is this really bad? I wasn't planning on sending out actual invitations. We sent out our STD's and I figured if a lot of people were attending then I would mail out formal invitations...well it turns out that there are about 24 people going, so should I even send them out? Are you ladies sending them out with the AHR info too, or what is the deal? I still have so much to do!

To do:

Shoes

Jewerly

BM jewerly

FG baskets/buckets

RB shell or something

Ipod playlist

Gifts...for everyone

OOT bags and items for it (oh I bought six deck of cards)

Get ring sized

Buy fans and ribbon to decorate

Welcome letter

Readings for ceremony

FG dresses-I bought them but not sure if I like them a whole lot!

RB shirt

I know there is alot more, I just can't think of it right now! I'm freaking out ladiescensored.gif

We are not doing invitations for Jamaica. We had sent out STDs last year and most people responded to those. We did not want to spend more money on invitations when just about everyone who is going has already booked their trip and they have all the info that they really need from our wedding website. We did make invitations for our AHR that is in August. We are planning to send them out right before we leave for Jamaica.

I went ahead and purchased invitiations, and mailed them out at the begining of March, becuase our final deposits are due next week, so I wanted to give people plenty of time.

I'm a little freaked out right now too, as I have a huge list of "To Do's", but I know it will all get taken care of.

I also think you'll be fine, remember to b-r-e-a-t-h-e. :)

We did not send out invitations. Our STDs had all the info necessary to book, etc...so we didn't send invitations. We did however send a reminder to folks to book their travel and get their passports ready in January. Only have 16 people booked so far, but have probably at least 10 more still saying they are coming (I wish they would just hurry up a book!!!!) Sorry, bridezilla came out for a second wink.gif

We aren't sending out invitations. We sent out STDs probably a year in advance with our website on it so everyone had all the info they needed to book. We had everyone RSVP on our website and also put on there that we weren't sending out formal invitations. Everyone's booked and RSVP'd so we are set.

We are sending out invitations to our AHR in September though.

We also didn't send out 'actual' invitations. We sent out STD with info and our website has lots of info to. We have 35 people booked so we didn't think invite were necessary.

We are sending out pre-travel brochures. I actually need to finish those up, we hope to send them out the beginning of May.

Then we will send out invite for our AHR which is in August, when we get back after the wedding. Probably the 2nd week of June.

I have lots of little things piled on my to-do list including...

finish pre-travel brochures

make tags for OOT bags (probably using monogram on business card)

wrap fan handles, attach starfish charm

figure out music!! This one is stumping me!!

Thanks for the info. I don't we will send out formal invites...like you said those who are going have booked and know where to find the info. I need to get invites for our AHR though...add one more thing to the list. girl_werewolf.gif

KatyKo-I hear you in reference to the people that say they are going and haven't booked! We have about 10 people still lingering too! I actually have a friend that has booked but hasn't applied for her passport. She is going to pay extra to have it rushed...but she is going to drive me crazy!!!!!

Soon2bepowers-what are you putting on your pre-travel brochures?

Wow, I just found this Thread. I'm a June 1st bride and feel like I have WAAAY too much to do yet!

We still have GM's attire to purchase, FI's pants and shoes need to be decided on, jewelry to purchase, music selections to make, OOT bags, still have a couple flights to book (we originally were taking the ferry btw Maui and Oahu during our honeymoon before it shut down), wedding party gifts, along with a lot of other little things that still have some time. We just recently got FI's wedding band and are getting mine sized.

Have actually gotten a lot accomplished real recently but still feels like a lot left! I'll just be happy for the day to come and we get to say "I Do" and the stress will be over lol.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
