Recommended Posts

My dress is in!!! Holy crap!!! I am not skinny enough for us to be at this point yet!! AHHHHH!!!!!

Okay - I got my dress at Mockingbird Bridal. Has anyone had alterations done there? Do you recommend them?

If not - do you recommend any alterations places in Dallas? I'm still new to the area and don't know where to start!

TIA!!

I know of a great place in Addison - but can't think of the name right now. I am going to use them because they are highly recommended by people I really trust and the prices are very reasonable.

Sew something... Let me see if I can find it. I know I have their business card at home if google doesnt do the trick.

Edit: It's Maybe Sew Wedding designs and alterations Hello and her name is Leigh Ann

I got my dress at Stardust a couple weeks ago! Do you know if their alterations are expensive?

I think it's pretty average. I picked up the finished dress up for my sister and there was a black smudge on it so she raised hell, and she got the alterations for free. Therfore, I'm not exactly sure how much the total was. And to be honest, I'm pretty sure it was my fault... not theirs. oops.gif I've only heard great things about them though.

My sis found her dress at Mockingbird, but ordered it through Stardust because she really wanted them to do the alterations.

When I got my altered I called a bunch of places. Stardust said they only do alterations if you buy your dress there.

Do you live near Plano? Let me know cause I know a great place on Preston Rd called "Silhouette". The number is 972-964-8816. Ask for Laura, she did my dress and it was great and only took 2 weeks. Some places I called in Dallas were quoting me 6-8 weeks.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
