Cost of a cabo wedding - ballpark figure?

Does anyone know the cost of a Cabo wedding including DJ, food, open bar, flowers, etc. for anywhere from 50-100 people. I'm absolutely lost on this as they just give you a price for each and every little thing, never a good estimate for everything. Any advice or help on this would be greatly appreciated!

It depends a lot on the venue, and the difference between 50 and 100 ppl can be almost double. Ballpark for a non-AI? Maybe $15,000, give or take $5K? Also, do you want to count your airfare, dress, jewelry, welcome dinner, etc in that figure? There really is no one right number.

We are expecting about 75 people at Casa Del Mar resort :

There is a deposit that I am not including because it goes towards the total bill at the end.

Food is about $7,000 ( this is for a 3 course meal and cake that is being brought from off site and is a $4 per person storage/ cutting fee)

$4500 for an open bar (domestic) for 4 hours plus a cocktail hour with a tequila bar.

Flowers: $1,000 (florenta flower design) Not having heavy decorations but enough to make it pretty. I can send you our budget that they did if you are interested. They were the most reasonable with great work.

Dj: mostly between $230 and $270 an hour (some charge for set up and take down and some do not)

We are also going to have a violin and harp player but have not contracted anyone.

We are using Mariano Lemus for our phtography and for 7 hours (2 for the welcome dinner and 5 during the wedding day it was $4000).

There is usually around a 15% tax on everything so keep that in mind. We have the location fee waived beacuse we have the 10 room block filled. This is not an AI which may cut on cost. I know that if you get married any day but Saturday it is cheaper. Hope that this helps let me know if you have any other questions.

We went over the top and had firedancers, fireworks and hired decorators to redecorate the entire room.

Flowers- $2,000 (8 girls bouquets and groomsmen orchids, 7 beautiful and big centerpieces and a sweetheart table. Two roses for father-in-law and Dad. Two corsages for mother-in-law and mom.

Photographer- $4,000

Videograpther-$1500

Hair and makeup-$ 100 and up.. I am not sure the exact price, but I know it was over $100 and under $200. My bridesmaids did their own hair and makeup. It was worth spending the money.

Oxten-Decorators- $8,000-9,000 and it was all well worth it.

The total for the Riu was around $10,000. That included the food for cocktail and reception for 60 people, liquor, ceremony and champaigne to toast, firedancers, fireworks, the trio for the ceremony, decoration at ceremony, bouquet and boutinniere.

So again we went over the top, but it was all worth it and I wouldn't change anything about the wedding.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
