Video guy at brides house before mass- Y or N??

Recommended Posts

IYO how impt it is for the video peop's to come to the brides house before the mass & reception? The photographer will be there already getting shots, etc. I have a video person in mind but to have them come to my house is 300.00 more, it's a totally different package I'd have to get. I feel like it's not that impt BUT for those who have gone through this already what are your thoughts, do you wish you would have done that? And even if you have not been married yet, what are your thoughts?

Thanks :o)elefant.gif

You know, its funny, I never even thought of having the video guy come to my room before the ceremony! LOL...I guess it wasn't high on my must have list. That being said, I'd save the $300 bucks for something else. As long as you have the pictures of you getting ready, you should be fine.

Even now, if I were given the option to have video of me getting ready before the ceremony, I don't think I would have done it. Again, just my opinion!

IMO - video in getting ready segments works only if there is alot of room where you are getting ready. - not something most people think about, but I am regularly in very small spaces when a bride is getting ready -

throwing a videographer, in addition to the photographer, and all of the equipment into a room, can be a bit overwhelming to everyone (not just you, but bridesmaids, parents, etc.) - People typically act much different when they feel like they are putting on a show for the media! - I prefer much more natural moments and thus, try to "lay low" - the more people you add into a small room, the much less possible it is to act natural! :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
