Photography ???

Recommended Posts

I am really struggling on deciding on a photographer. A distant relative of mine just did a destination wedding for a friend of mine, and he said he would do 3 days worth of photography for $1500 and the cost of the trip. He said he would come along on cool runnings tour the day before the wedding and shoot, the day of the wedding all day, and the day after in the morning for a TTD shoot. I don't know if this is a good deal or not. It seems he lacks the creativity and I certainly lack creativity. I am a little concerned about his experience. I would really like to stay under $2000 for photography. Is this an unrealistic budget for photography. I would really like to hear what other people have paid in the past or if you all believe this is a good deal.

Here is the website so everyone can see some of the pictures. BTW this wedding is Barcelo Maya Palace in Mexico.

is a copy right free cd with all of the pictures included in that price?

You can hire a local photographer, then you don't have to pay the travel fees.

I have booked SunGold Photography. However their packages can get quite expensive.

I am getting the intimate pkg. it is only for 2 hrs and it will cost me around $1800 usd. But I get a copy right free cd of all the pictures.

I fell in love with them after viewing their website.

1500 for three days worth is an incredible deal. But, only if you like what you would be getting. You could probably find a photographer for under two thousand that would do the wedding day and reception. But, probably not as much as this relative would be doing.

Maybe ask him to see more photos? Even if they are not destination wedding photos, you still get an idea of his work.

The quality of the pictures is very good and you can't beat the price for 3 days of photography. It just depends on what you are looking for. I am also going with Sungold, but one of their associates since Paula and Damian are already booked for my date (too bad). Their pics are great and the price is a little lower. You can have 10hrs split between 2 days for $2200 and you have all rights to the pics. They have packages that cost less money as well, but if you want multiple days that is the price you are looking at.

Hello to everyone,

First of all I hope everyone is having a great day and is in good health. A lot of people take small things for granted especially with the stress of setting up for your big day. Take a step back, take a deep breath, and know that it will all come together and be a spectacular day.

Now that everyone is clear of mind, my name is Matt and I have a small write up about my wedding photography business that I would like you all to read.

I always have enough time for any of my referrals

Thanks,

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
