How Will I Know if Baby is Distressed in utero?

I've heard lots of movement is nothing to worry about too.

I've noticed Luke is also getting alot stronger and alot more active. I can see him beating my stomach all the time!! Especially at night when it's time to go to sleep. He's sooooo not ready to sleep then.

Martha, healthy babies move at least 10 times an hour. It's less movement, not excessive movement that you should worry about.

However, as a nurse I highly value a mother's intuition. If you ever feel like something's "just not right" it never hurts to call your doc. Mind you, they may laugh if you call at 3am because your baby is moving too much, but if you ever think something else is wrong it's never a bad thing to get checked out.

My daughter did the same thing. Just get used to it, because until he gets into a routine when he is born he will be awake more at night than during the day since that is what he's used to. At least that is what my daughter did. Plus, movement generally puts a baby to sleep..hence riding in the car for hours to put a baby to sleep. But I feel you on being paranoid, I was too, it's only natural.

Thank you so much guys! He moved around a lot last night too, just not like that other night.

He does move around more at night, just nothng like I felt the other night.

Sarah, I think if I ever feel something isn't "right" I will call. But, ya they may think I am nuts for calling because he was so active.

Being pregnant is so scary.

I agree with the others! Active is good! My sister's baby kicked the crap out of her in utero. Now he is almost 11 months old and his is always kicking his R leg around randomly. We call it his "rogue leg." He was kicking me with the rogue leg weekend when he was drinking his bottle.

Time is going fast, eh? How exciting!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
