I stayed at sun village in march of 07 and the ground are beautiful. i am a pool person and they have around 7 pools, 2 with a swim up bar. the resort is spread out, never had a problem getting a chair at the pool or beach. there are lot of stairs so older ppl might have a problem.

Sure...

And my day after photos that were also taken at the same resort:

If you have any questions about the place feel free to PM me.

It's going great!
We haven't done a WHOLE lot yet!
My dress is ordered Style 8439 , invites are sent (in March!), I just ordered my favors, cake topper & flutes 2 days ago Add to Cart , Add to Cart , Add to Cart .
We still have to get our rings, documents translated, attendants gifts, FI wardrobe, shoes, lingerie, BD photos, and the list goes on!!!
I haven't made any arrangements with the hotel yet except wedding date & time.
I am going over wedding "stuff" with the TA next week (she's a DW specialist!!).
So...still lots of stuff to do!!

If you are looking at the RIU Bachata for your wedding, I will warn you that they do not have the beautiful white sandy beaches that Punta Cana has. I sacrificed the beach for the clifftop gazebo!!

PLEASE let me know if you need anymore info!

Why would you put your FI in charge of invitations??smile35.gif LOL

And don't stress!! Apparently I sent mine out WAY early!! I just thought that since it was a DW and people should book early then I could/should send my invites out earlier than normal! As long as everyone who's invited knows about the details then you are fine!! Don't stress!! But if you look it up in the etiquette section here then you will see when they should be going out!!!
(And keep a close eye on FI!! lol)

She's right...the beaches aren't that nice but that gazebo got me!!
Also, PC is more expensive - could be why she swayed you that way!
(Sorry...it might not be the case, but that's my first thought when someone who works on commission leads me toward the more expensive "product"!)

In any case I'm sure it will be a beautiful wedding on the amazing white sandy beach!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
