so so cute Amy...I think you should make the RSVP date for early august and send them out in may?

this way you will have some price info and most airlines don't do their schedules for longer than 10 months out so I originally sent out price info for people 10 months before the date so people could make a more educated decision.

I don't think you will be able to ask people the specifics like arrival or departure or flight # becuase no one would have booked that already, but you can ask how many people and if they are thinking about coming

Thanks Ladies!

Tammi, Jessalyn, Kash, Christine- I know that i have sometime, but I have a lot of family who go on vacations and plan a year in advance. Most of the fam know that we are planning on going to PV and want more info on the hotel and date so I'm going to get these out by the end of March/ early April. I want them to have access to the website and was only planning on having them RSVP there but my mom thinks I should add the second pass b/c there are those old skool aunts that still don't have computers! Well, I figure its not going to be acurate but at least it will give me a (very) rough idea of who's going.

Jen- I am making the second boarding pass like a postcard that will be pre-stamped.

Lizzy- no worries, you'll rack up points soon! If not, let us know we'll be happy to donate points!

Thanks! I'm sure you can make them yourself! Honestly.. I just played around the the template and different fonts..

I'll upload a version on Word so you can tweak it and make it your own. Also you must check out Aylee's website http://www.gnyc.net/senseless/2006/0...save-the-date/

this is where most of us get our DIY templates and ideas.. If you feel that you can't make it on your own you can purchase them from her!

Those look great Amy, and I think the other girls have already made great suggestions. I would definitely put and area for them to check yes or no and refer them to your website. Giving them a deadline also (hopefully!) will clue them in to the fact that they need to mail it back.

From personal experience though, don't expect a huge response immediately from STD's. I don't think it changed much for my invitees. I already pretty much knew who was coming and who was not, the STD's just made it a little more official...

Awesome job- those look great!

Christine- where have you been? J/K~ Yes, we changed our location to the Mayan Regency!!! Yay! I'm so excited. I acutally just got off the phone with my cousin who's been communicated with the WC. She got the hotel to include a couple of freebies! We are actually putting the deposit down on monday, he's already saved the date!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
