I went in for my first dress fitting last night! I was sooo scared about putting the dress on, but was pleasantly surprised... working out has paid off! I also purchased gifts for my honorary bridesmaids.

 

I still need to: make my OOT bags and write the welcome letter/itinerary and work on my Ipod playlists.

 

I can't believe how close we all are!!!!

I have a couple of big checks off my to do list.

 

First, I sent the paperwork yesterday! Yeah! It was the one thing I was not looking forward to. The thought of standing in line after line at the court house getting all the paperwork ready didn't sound like fun, but it turned out to be not that bad; and I even found a parking spot on the street...in Downtown Seattle...that's a miracle in itself.

 

Next, the muslin version of my dress is ready. I am having a friend who is a designer make a custom dress for me based on a 1930s dress I own. For those who are confused…when you have something custom made (not from an existing pattern) many designers will first make the item in an inexpensive fabric (in this case muslin) to make sure the style and fit are correct before they make the item in the more expensive fabric. I should be able to try it on as soon as we can figure out a time to meet. I’m so excited!!!

 

Top things I still have to do:

Get my wedding band sized

Get on Joel to pick out his ring

Find pants for Joel for the ceremony

 

I can’t believe how fast time is going. It’s almost here!

My stomach flips everytime I think about only having 3 weeks left! We got our pre cruise care packages out over the holidays and it feels so good to be done with them! Are you all doing planning threads?

I'm glad I'm not the only one who has a 'mini' freakout everytime someone mentions the wedding... Two weeks ago.. I would get overwhelmed.. last week.. I was excited.. this week.. I am getting stressed.. 24 days to go... WOW

I just made my final list of things to do and I am getting so excited!!* As of yesterday we have 78 people coming and still have a week to go before I have to stick my mom on the call list to see if we will have any others joining us.* My FI and I are meeting with our pastor this weekend to start our marriage counciling, I am a little nervous about that one!* We have been dating for three years but I am sure we will find out things about eachother that we did not know. And last but not least I need to post all of my DIY projects and my dress and everything else I have done as of now that pertains to my wedding on this site so I can hopefully help some other lost bride to be out there with some ideas.

Things for us are also moving along nicely. We ordered everyone's outfits except for FI but he knows what he is getting. I am just about finished with our pre-trip packages. We finalized our wedding day with WC, hired Mariachi band, DJ and videographer.

 

Left to do:

Centerpieces are done, just need to finish the table #s

Make OOT bags

Finish welcome book

I cannot believe that my wedding is less than 7 weeks away - holy crap!

 

I still have lots to do but am feeling more in control that I did a month ago! Just have smaller things to do now - and it looks like lots of parties! I need to refine my lists and just keep plugging away!

15 days until we leave for the wedding! It seems like yesterday that it was so far away! The bachlorette party was last weekend (pole dancing lessons were HILARIOUS) and the bridal shower is this weekend (a wine themed shower...YUM).

How exciting your wedding is almost here (well all of ours yikes!) Time has really flown by. Your parties sound like fun. Pole dance lol had to be fun!!!

 

So how is everyone's planning going?

 

Ours is moving along nicely we just mailed out our pre-travel documents today (which was a passport with information, brochure on excersions and local areas and luggage tags)

 

Left To Do:

I am finishing up our table numbers.

I have everything for me just have to make my veil which my mom and I are doing tomorrow.

Get FI suit

Iron on Logo on bags (I should get the bags delivered on Monday)

Buy some last minute stuff for our welcome bags.

Hey girls! I was thinking about all of you and that we haven't checked in for a while.

 

Tobi, we leave in 15 days too! We will basically be in the Caribbean at the same time, just different islands. Passing ships in the night...ha!

 

I printed our programs last night and I am happy with them. I found this great paper that is deep red on one side and ivory on the other with red hearts woven in. Love it! I'm getting my hair cut/colored tomorrow and going for a makeup trial at MAC. I've been waiting for these two appointments for a long time!!! I've got my planning thread almost ready to go. So exciting!
