Has anyone used tropic isle weddings (Tropic Isle Weddings - St. Lucia Wedding Planners) as their wedding planners. We were thinking of having a destination wedding in St. Lucia next summer, but I have had not much luck in getting wedding planners to email me back, except for these guys. Anybody have any dealings with them? good? bad?

My experience has been just the opposite. I have emailed Awesome Caribbean Wedding planners three times in two weeks and no one has responded to me. Tropic Isle responded the next day. I was really hoping to get Awesome Caribbean (I was impressed with their website). We are planning a wedding for June of 2009. Where will you guys be staying? We are still trying to find a place that is budget friendly.

Yeah, that is surprising, but I guess things happens, maybe something is wrong with there email. I was impressed with there site as well and have heard all goods things about about Awesome Caribbean. If you are really interesting in working with Awesome Caribbean I can put you in touch with Michelle who is my wedding planner. I am getting married in June 2009 as well. What date where you thinking about? I am staying at the Windjammer-landing Beach Villa Resort. They are lots of other resorts and Villa available, which Awesome Caribbean can organize all that for you. How many people are you planning on having? Are you looking for AI or not?

You can also check one of the threads we have under St. Lucia. We have about two others girls that is getting married next year in St. Lucia as well. When I first signed up Kristy has been very helpful with providing information, since she have visted St. Lucia before and is getting married there next May.

When you get a chance chectk the post for more info on St. Lucia.

That is the official thread we started to help all st. lucia Brides and it has been very helpful for me. I don't know what I would have done without it. I am still getting the hang of the forum and how to post and reply. They other girls are very good at it.

If Awesome Caribbean have not responded to you and you want you can give me your email address and full name I will request for Michelle to get in touch with you.

I hope I was helpul.

Hi Gracie. It's so nice to hear from another (potential) St. Lucia bride!

I am not using an offsite wedding planner (Villa Capri comes with one who I LOVE), but before booking the villa, I had contacted both Tropical Isle Weddings and Awesome Caribbean Weddings. Both gave pretty quick responses. One thing to remember is that much like Europe, a lot of St. Lucia goes on holiday for the month of August. My WC was away for 3 1/2 weeks and the restaurant I am (hopefully) using for the reception dinner was closed the entire month.

I have heard excellent things about both companies. Honestly, I think you'll be happy with either one. If you're having more luck with Topical Isle, then go with them.

And yes, please join Velda and me on the official St. Lucia brides website. I have posted quite a bit of info on there, but please feel free to ask me anything. I'm not guaranteeing I have the answer, but I can try!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
