Marialma told me $125 USD per vendor. Does this mean $65 for the day pas + $60 for their dinner?

Do you know if the couple used the hotel centerpieces and plate chargers? or did they bring their own decorations?

Also -- as a photographer did you like the gazebo? i'm thinking it's a little dark and am hoping there is space to hold the ceremony outside the gazebo but still with the beautiful background.

Thanks again for sharing!
Sarah,

As the onsite photographers at the resort, we have seen our share of wedding set-ups. The majority of the weddings are held in the gazebo however, the grassy area in front of the gazebo or across from the gazebo make fine settings with the same beautiful ocean background.

We got married at Xcaret in March of this year. The free ceremony is for 15 people or less I believe... We ended up paying for a private ceremony since we had 38 guests plus ourselves and two of our guests were musicians from Ireland and we needed the space for them to setup. We also rented them some sound equipment. Marialma was so fantastic! The buffet food at the wedding was fabulous and better than the resort buffet. The food though at this resort is the best we've had at any all-inclusive and we've both been to the Dominican, different resort in the Mayan, Manzanillo and Puerto Vallarta! Our wedding was our second vacation there... we got engaged at the same spot a year earlier! The resort photographers were also fantastic! It is well worth the money as they know the great spots for pictures and how the sunlight will fall at different times of the day. Hope this helps!

Hi-

I am the bride, or was the bride from Leah Stafford's photographs. We were married June 19th. The chargers were free and part of the package. We did the private reception with the Carribean buffet @ $40 a person. The food was good. The centerpieces were $50 each. I didnt have to pay any service charge for Leah because she was a guest of the resort. I did pay for her to eat dinner, which is normal at any wedding. The reception at the beach club was really windy which was good to cool down my guests but bad for all the tea light candles I brought which wouldnt stay lit. I also made a bunch of luminary bags which the decorations were blowing off of because it was so windy. I would definitely bring covered candle holders if you want candles. If you have other questions you can email me @ dawnandjeremy09@gmail.com

Thanks for the tip on the wind! Never thought of that

So I clarified with Marialma that the $125 is $60 for the morning pass and the $65 is for the evening pass. This entitles them to everything on the resort. However the dinner at the wedding is extra. So what I am going to have the vendors do is eat before the reception at one of the buffets. Otherwise it will cost me $200US per vendor if I do a 5hr reception which is ridiculous.

How much did the sound system cost to rent? And was it sufficient?

Thanks for the tips Dawn and IrishMatrimony! it's always great to hear from past brides.

emengeeroxx -- do you need your vendors during the day? you could save $60 by having them come at 3pm. (night passes usually start at 5pm but Marialma said they let people in at 3pm for weddings)

Our wedding is at 3:30pm in PDC. We'd want the photographers/videographer at the Xcaret for around 1:30 to take some pics/video. Hopefully Marialma can give us an adjusted rate since they probably won't be doing any eating or drinking between 1:30pm-3:00pm. They'd simply be working.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
