Any Occidental Grand Xcaret brides out there?

Recommended Posts

I booked my wedding there for May 28, 2010. I am so excited! smile29.gif

Still waiting to hear back from our TA about package prices, but I am looking at Expedia for an idea of costs, and it seems that it's going to be affordable for our guests.

I need some advice! I'm booked in at the OGX for our February 2010 wedding. Right now, I'm struggling with bridesmaids' attire. I wanted to do things pretty casual, and at first told my bridesmaids they could wear whatever dress they wanted, just "think beachy". However, my bridesmaids now would like to match somewhat (they think this would look better in the pictures, which I tend to agree with). My dilemma is that I have two bridesmaids in Canada, and one living in the U.S., so it is difficult to find designers and/or brands that are available in both countries.

Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

Good idea MexicoBride10! We should start a list of everyone's date. It'll be helpful to get feedback once brides start having their weddings. I'll start, and then use the quote function to add your date.

I was feeling unsure about the spa at the resort for hair and makeup so I searched the forum and alot of people recommended this woman named Doranna. Her website is dorannahairstylist.com

I heard she is amazing. She is a little pricey but its our wedding and will not risk my hair not looking the way i want.

Good luck

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
