BM Dresses - buying today

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone!

I have been going back and forth on the bridesmaid dresses, and I think I've got it to this choice - I think I just need more affirmation. What do you think of this dress? I love the print because it's different and seems reggae-ish somehow, all of my wedding colors are included in the dress, and there are pockets (pockets!), but I'm concerned that it might not be bridesmaid-sy enough. I've got a pretty formal dress.

Also, the GMs are all in white/tan striped tunic shirts.

I do think the dress is cute! I guess it depends on HOW formal YOUR dress is and how much you want that to flow within your wedding, kwim? These remind me of beachy dresses. Anything can be dressed up though, with the right acces., shoes, etc. I'd have to see it on...

Have you look in David's Bridal? They have printed dresses there that are really cute for DW's.....

Thanks for the feedback! I love my dress too!!! Swoon.....

I do love that orange twist dress - gorgeous! I'm still waiting to hear back from my last BM, but the other 2 are split (but of course, have agreed to wear whatever I decide.) It'll be a tough decision, since I am trying to keep the whole affair casual and laid-back. (Aren't we all?)

I was concerned at first about my dress being too formal, but the FMIL cried when I walked out of the room and my mother and I love it, so we're working with it. The FI will be wearing a tan linen suit with a white button-down linen shirt, no tie.

Also, 2 of the BMs aren't exactly financially set, so I'm trying to keep dress costs for them down since they're already paying for the plane tix. Maybe some dressy accessories.....

Have a great weekend ladies!

Yeah I love that orange one too. Say you go to a store (like Cache, where the orange dress is from) seriously talk to the manager and tell her its a bm dress, and see if they can give a certain % off as they all will be buying the dress there. It seriously works! Also if you find that you love a dress but its just too expensive, you can find something identical for cheaper somewhere else. The girls on this forum always find stuff! Good luck, keep us posted!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
