Calling all Villa Brides

FYI Peanuty468 - San Pancho or San Francisco is probably a lot further than 45 minutes north of PV. They like to seriously under estimate the travel time everywhere. It is north of Sayulita which is at least 45 minutes north of PV. I have been told it is a quaint fishing village (aka very small town). It will be perfect if that is what you want. If you or your guest will want a town with lots of clubs, resturants, and other amenities this may not be the best location. I don't want to scare you off because I have heard great things about San Pancho and really want to visit there on my next trip to the PV area.

Also, if your wedding is in the hot season May-Oct, you might want to consider finding some place with air conditioning. Trade winds can not be guaranteed to be constant and it gets awfully warm during those months even directly on the coast. It is not pleasant getting ready for your wedding while dripping in sweat. The door to my bathroom was closed the day of my wedding so my bathroom was very warm even though it was ocean front. We had a problem with our a/c one night and I don't think I could have spent another night without a/c. I would have had to go find a hotel room. It was miserable.

I´m also gettng married at a private villa called Casa Perla in Cancun!

The villa is a great choice as it has six of us put for all our stay and are celebrating the ceremony there.

There is a Wedding fee and the extras would be hiring the setup for reception, and that is it, as all the rest, you also pay in the hotels!

But privacy pays, this time for us!elefant.gif

adcarter41...what a small world! I am in the process of selecting whether to book my small wedding at Casa Vela or Villa Amor in Sayulita. Have you had your wedding at Vela yet? It looks beautiful but I'm rather torn...would love to hear from someone who has already had the experience.

jmred,

Villa Encanto is awesome. We are friends with one of the owners and have stayed there before.  There are only five bedrooms in the main house, but they also have a media room downstairs with a couch that pulls out into a bed and a two bedroom guest house behind the pool so it actually sleeps 16. You may want to ask about these options and what the price adjustment would be. My only suggestion is that you may want to work with a local planner to save yourself the headache that goes along with all of the extra details of a villa wedding in Mexico. Depending on your number of guests you may be able to rent your place settings and glassware directly from the villa and have Maria cater for you. She is an amazing cook. The villa is also very close the The Royal Decameron, an all inclusive resort; The Four Seasons and a few other smaller hotels if you have guests that are not staying with you but would like to be close. The Daxxling Details has done several weddings there and if you search their blog you can see some great pictures. They've even put dance floors on the beach to maximize space.  Let me know if you have any questions. I also have photos of our last stay there.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
