Met my husband and ended up buying an underwater photography/video business and filming and shooting dolphins/sharks/ whales etc and teaching underwater photography occasionally as well. After a few years we kept getting requests from businesses on island to do commercial work and then family and portrait work (sharks are a breeze compared to small children...LOL) and weddings. Now thirteen years later, we only do about 10% of underwater photography.

Love every minute of it. I highly recommend following your passion, I find that if you love what you do, everything falls into place!

That is awesome! I would love to just do something random like that.

If you want to do it do it nothing to stop you. Just remember it is very male dominated and unless someone gives you a break its gonna be tough getting a job. I don't know about Nottingham but some areas are still very male dominated up here including my area and you do feel it chick.

I always wanted to be a car mechanic and wasn't bad but I hated getting greasy lmao that knocked that on the head lol

I'm appserlutly gutted !! I've just spoken to the tutor of the course I want to enroll on and he tells me its been full for some time when I'd been told there were places available. How pissed am I !! If I was to start the course this year it would take me 3 yrs before I'm qualified ( I would be 28 ) I would now have to wait another year and I've got trying for a baby to think about, I don't want to leave it too late. To me 29 yrs is pushing it, I know women have children later than that and thats fab but what if it takes a long time ?..... What do you guys think I should do stay in my job untill we decide to have children in maybe 1 or 2 years time and use the maternity leave or try to get on the course next year leving trying for children untill I'm 29 ?? ..... I'm all confusedsmile35.gif !!

It depends on how much you want it as to whether you are prepared to wait and make a decision that you wouldn't have kids while training. Whats to say you didn't accidentally get pregnant. Not everything in life is clear cut.

You need to decide whats important to you and just relax - you still have a job even though you aren't happy in it. Whats to say there aren't better courses with better jobs out there - look about. Unless you have your heart set on it and will give everything up for it then keep looking. The best things in life happen without warning.

Glad to hear 29 is pushing it for kids i won't be trying until i'm 37 lmao thats me screwed smile117.gif lmao

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
