I've noticed the reviews on trip advisor and slowly getting better...so I'm feeling much better about the decision to go with Dreams VM!!
Hi Soonergirl! Please PM me your e-mail, so I can send you the pics and info on the contacts that I have for the VM.

I'm so glad that they reviews are getting better, I figure that the bad reviews were part of the growing pains that some new resorts go thru...

A few days ago, we decided not to go with the wedding package offered by the VM. Instead we hired Prisar Vallarta - Organizacion y Coordinación de Bodas y Eventos en Puerto Vallarta to help us with all the details of the wedding, including working directly with the resort. The cost may be slightly higher, but for us is worth the peace of mind.

Please let me know if there's anything else that I might be able to help with.

Hi Stephanie!

Don't worry, we also had a difficult choosing a resort.

When we were researching, we took into consideration the things that we are looking for in a vacation and also wanted a place comfortable and affordable for our guest.

Also keep in mind that there are several beautiful villas in PV.

BTW the VM is in Nuevo Vallarta not PV.

Best of luck with your search.

I was just in PV and my fiance and I went for a tour of Dreams VM. It is amazing! My FI was being grumpy that day and didn't want to get dragged out of our resort to go checkout a guest hotel location. Anyways, once we showed up there his attitude completely changed and he got really excited. The restaurants all look nice and the menus made me hungry. The sushi restaurant on the top of the hotel has fantastic views and cool furniture. We can't wait to stay there for our wedding and know our guests will be blown away!

My soon to be parents-in-law just got back from spending a week in PV. They're avid travelers, spending at least 8 weeks a year in different Mexican destinations. They spent the whole week jumping from resort to resort, getting tours and meeting with wedding coordinators for us. They also dragged their best friends with them, who loved the experience. All four agreed that out of all the all-inclusives from both PV and NV, Dreams VM and Riu Vallarta were by far their favorites. They said the Dreams VM has fixed all the glitches and would definitely wow all our guests. They also mentioned that since half the resort is owner-occupied, it's quite quiet as it's never full (at this time of year) and that our group (approx. 60-70 guests) would be a significant "chunk" of the resort and would be super accomodating. Just thought I'd share this with all of you....

Hi ladies -

I was just in PV mid-Feb. for a site visit. We looked at 4 resorts and have chosen Dreams PV. Although we are not getting married there, our guests will stay from 10/31-11/07.

I was a bit nervous because the reviews had not been anything spectacular. However, you are all right - they continue to get better. The property is GORGEOUS! Each guest room is a suite and looks exactly like the photos. How cool that they each have a jacuzzi tub on the balcony as well!!

The restaurant variety is great - and the rooftop loung (9th floor) sushi lounge has the most beautiful view of the bay. Also, the salon is to die for. You will all enjoy spending time there with your bridal party. Super 'posh'.

They were cementing in the wedding gazebo near the beach while we were there. It is located close to the Barracuda bar, just before the stairs down to the beach. It is surrounded by concrete and grass - not sand. However, since it was still under construction, I do not know exactly how it will look when finished.

Group sales is run by Cynthia Salcedo and she can be reached at groups@dreamsvillamagna.com.mx.

The wedding coordinator is Yolanda. I met her and if you are interested in menu information, please send me a PM. Let me know if you have any other questions about our visit.

Trisha

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
