Also, where is everyone buying their bags from?  I really wanted to get something they could use later as well but I feel like just buying gift bags.

Any ideas?  Can you tell me about the quality of them?

I went back and forth on this, but I ended up just buying white gift bags that I will put a sticker on and colored tissue paper and ribbon. Done! Lol I just felt my guests wouldn't end up using a beach bag as most would already have their own and I didn't want the extra expense. This was my inspiration:

I love this idea! If people aren't keen on buying bulky and expensive bags, these look so awesome!

Do you remember the name of the company? I am pretty set on doing my own, but I would like to see their prices! Thanks!

Great list!  My welcome bags will have a "wedding weekend survival kit" that will contain chap stick, aloe, sunblock, hand sanitizer, mints, Advil and tissues.  My mother-in-law is making us some super cute personalized koozies, personal coolers (holds a 6-pack) and nail kits for the ladies.  She is super crafty, so each item will have something to do with our wedding, but "Jamie & Andy" won't be plastered on every item so people can (hopefully) use them again.  Everything is going in beach bags we found at the dollar store.  We are also going to put something from Mexico (authentic candy or a souvenir maybe?) in them after we go shopping on 5th Ave.  I also made brochures on Microsoft Publisher that contains a thank you note, info about the restaurants, tipping procedures, activities on and off the resort and an itinerary for the weekend.  We're just packing everything and bringing it with us.  38 more days!! I can't believe it!

This is a great thread for ideas for Welcome bags!! Here is my welcome bag.  I got the bags from the dollar store along with the drink cups.  I bought waterproof labels for the cups.  I also made a hangover helper kit which had advil, tums, pepto, emergence C packets and mints.  I also enclosed a welcome letter, sunblock, aloe, bug off and a first aid kit.  They were a huge hit and everyone loved them!!!!!!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
