I thought we could start a list of what people are putting into their OOT bags, ideas, etc.

 

Some ideas that I had are:

 

• LOCAL SOUVENIR T-SHIRTS

"I *heart* NY" t-shirts

"LOVE" Philadelphia

whatever the slogan is for Mexico - anyone know??

1. mini bottles of aloe
2. hand sanitizer
3. flip flop sticky note pads
4. bug spray
5. travel size bottle of sunscreen
6. welcome note from us with the agenda for the weekend
7. CD compilation
8. photo album or frame (can buy from dollar store)
9. lip balm

Nice find.!

It's good to have another source for inexpensive totes other than cheaptotes.com. Like you, my wedding date is not until next May. But I am so excited about it, I plan on ordering samples of the totes now, just to make sure I purchase the right one....not too big, not too small...

Stuff that I've not seen so far : I'm going to put in my OOT bags some plantable wildflower seeds wedding favors from Botanical Paperwork :

I'm rather green, I loved it ! The other "green' items in my OOT bags will be :

- some DEET-free mosquito repellent

- energy patches from Naturopatch of Vermont (to put in the hungover kits).

That's a great idea!!! So, we can order samples from most of the places that have the bags??

I think so...I was going to order a sample from cheap totes, just to make sure its not huge....you can order one for .99cents but shipping is like $5. SO you just have to realy want to see it....

I purchased my bags on cheaptotes and I am really happy with them--nice quality for the price. I bought iron-ons from them as well and ironed my save the date map on to them. I am super happy with the bags for less than 1$ each!

I'm a new destination bride planning and I was wondering how you all were getting the items and the bags down to Mexico. Are you packing them in a suitcase or shipping them down? I'm also planning a May 2010 wedding and any helpful hints/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
