This is a great list -thanks!!! I have a couple additions:

Note: I just got back yesterday from my cousin's DW in Punta Cana and the things that the bulk of the group forgot/ran out of was: Sun Tan Lotion (it was $23 for a 250mL bottle at the store!), Aloe, Benedryl/Afterbite and decks of cards (people paid $5-6 for a deck!).

The mugs are a great idea - and I would suggest adding in a trial size of dish detergent so you can wash them out. We used ours for the first day - got a bit tipsy and forgot to wash them...so they smelled kind of "off" the next day and we didn't use them again. If you want to save money, you could opt for non-disposable plastic cups (without the travel mug lid) - http://www.4imprint.ca/tag/614/Plastic-Cups/p/0.41-1.16 If your concerned that people's drinks won't stay cold - i wouldn't worry about it too much, most people will finish them before and if not, they can always dump out their cup and go get a refill!

My hubby-to-be and I had a puzzle book to keep us occupied and it had great brain teasers, trivia questions, etc. We may make up our own little booklet of puzzles. One section of our puzzle book was all coin puzzles and we were thinking it would be fun to give a little baggy of Jamaican coins with some games.

We are also going to get there a couple days early and pick up some post cards to put in the bags.

Our problem is we want to do too much! It adds up fast!

Happy Planning!

Kelly

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
