ROR Budget?

Recommended Posts

Ok, so I know there are a lot of budget threads out there, but I am more specifically interested in ROR budgets. What are your rooms, flights, ceremony and reception extras, excursions, etc. costing you? How long are you going for and how many guests are you having attend? A lot of people seem to choose ROR for the cost, but is it really a lot less expensive then the other AI resorts?

The wedding is "free", but is obviously still costing us quite a bit.

$2700 - Two week AI trip

$1950 - One week AI trip

$250 - Ceremony

$45 - Isle Runner

$15/person - Beach Reception (we have 130 ppl)

$500 - Private Reception (only paying because we have over 50 ppl)

$350 - Flowers (artificial, ordered locally)

That's our break down so far anyway!

I will attempt to do this but only have a few things until after the ceremony.

Trip for two weeks for both of us $5800

Ceremony $250

Wedding dress $1050

Favours $60

Wedding invites $100

MOH dress $170

FH outfit $100

Hotel night prior to leaving $125

I still have to add decorations, photography/videography and spa costs.

Here's what I have so far:

4,000 flight, transfers and 5 nights ROR, 5 nights CSS

250 minister

1,300 photography/videography (using Michael)

300 Invitations, std's, postage

350 Pre-marital counseling

150 OOT bags

1,000 budgeted for our clothes (may totally blow this as I havent found a dress yet)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
