Adamsgrrl:

Our TA is heading down there in May or in August to tour the new resort on the complex (Grand Hotel). She said she'll take a ton of photos and send them to us, so I'll pass those your way too (just remind me!)... Last time she photographed a resort for us, she came back with 350 phtos of Moon Palace.

I was wondering about the appearance too because I must have found the same photos as your FI--- but I've come across a couple people who have been there and said it's really beautiful. Plus, I fell in love with their beach--- the water looks absolutely AMAZING!!!!

We originally planned on 12-1 for the wedding, but my FI's job is really crazy at that time, so we moved it to January---- You're the only other Iberostar bride I've heard of on here----

(cloud 9 feels *really* good right now!!! :)

Thanks for the offer!!! Yea I think the Del Mar looks really nice, I don't know what his problem is... oh well. But your resort, the Lindo, is suppose to be BEAUTIFUL!! All the Iberostars are hard to book because they fill up so quickly, have you noticed that you can't book them on Expedia or Travelocity, thats because they are in such popular demand (according to our TA). Plus the WC who I worked with (Reyna) is so super responsive.

The only thing is that I wish some photographers would put the Iberostars in their blogs so we can take a look at wedding pictures there.

But I wouldn't worry about the Lindo, everything I've heard sounds great!!

Congradulations and Great Choice!

I noticed that on Expedia too, but I just assumed it was because I was searching too far out for a date...

Are you allowed to bring in an outside photographer at del Mar? Our Lindo person said we have to use their photographer. When I looked at his website, it was ok, but nothing too impressive. That was the only disappointing so far. But our TA is making it very clear to the WC that there are going to be some guests (as well as myself) who are photographers and not to give us a hard time about seeing pro equipment from someone else.

I'll have to check into that---They told my TA I would have to pay $300 to their photographer if I brought someone else in. Whether that's to book them into a room for the night or just a flat fee, I don't know. I'm hoping one of my college friends can make it to the wedding because he owes me a photography favor and having him shoot my wedding it! :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
