Happy to be engaged - overwhelmed by the wedding planning. I am looking to get married in Puerta Vallarta on or around June 12th of 2009. Started looking online at a ton of places, but feel like I am going in circles...HELP!

Thanks,

Abbey

We really just want a fun destination were we can get married in a beautiful setting outside (near or on the beach) with our close friends and family. We chose PV because neither of us had been there and the flights are easier for the areas people will be flying form than some of the other carribean destinations we were looking at initially. We really realized we would like any of the beach areas we were looking at and simply had to narrow it down so not to drive ourselves crazy! We are happy with our choice in place now just have to choose a resort. We are leaning heavily towards to all-inclusive and have some intrest in the Dreams and Barcelo Mismoplaya. Have you heard anything about either of those places? How are your plans coming along?

Oh don't' worry or stress. You got time on your side. Pv is an amazing place and there are many venues to have a beautiful wedding. Do you know how many people are going for the DW? I would start looking at photos and deciding what you want in a resort or venue.

Welcome to the forum, happy planning :0)

Congrats Abbey! I think LC Rachel had guests stay at Barcelo Misamaloya... I think. You may have to do a search and see.

I have a whole file on Dreams PV stuff. Feel free to PM me if you need it. Dreams was one of my contenders and we eventually decided on RIU Vallarta.

Let us know how we can help!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
