BillysBride, I may be enlisting your help when I decide what kind of hair I need to purchase but my mission now is finding a style because I have NO idea what kind of style I want. I think I need to just start looking at some styles and narrow it down that way. I know I don't want ANY hair in/on my face. I did want something kind of messy looking but then I got to thinking about the wind and the LAST thing I want is for my hair to get messed up before the day is over. I need to get to searching....and register for a photobucket account.
Yea girl, just post away! Start narrowing down what you like and just work from there.

They get a bad rap because i think people assume they are heavy/hot...and they really ARE NOT. They are very open and breathable.

I'm gonna start accumulating month to month and doing some serious searching. If I'm able to find a wedding style that I like in a Quick Weave, I'm all over it. The versatility factor is just unmatched. To be able to go from curly, to straight, long to short in a matter of minutes and look amazing is exactly what I need to be focused on.
Ok I have a question...Is this the half wig or is this the lace wig?

There are Quik Weaves in both half and full caps....one site that I use all the time is Hair Sisters.com They have braiding, and weaving hair, as well as all KINDS of lace fronts...those you can glue at the hairline, and those that have comb attachments.

Thats the problem I've always had with sew ins! They are very limiting in a way..you either do a low ponytail or leave it down. Thats the only two ways I know. If you do an updo, you always have that "ledge" in the back. You can try to do it as tight as possible to press it down more...or maybe request that she seperate the weft before she puts it in and do smaller braids in the back so that the hair has a better chance of lying down? I'm not sure..

Billy bride I really like your hair. I just want to know what kind it is. I'm wear weave also and yours is really nice
Thanks! Quick Weave! Though it's not the actual brand name I don't think...I just call all of the partials and full wigs that. I just blended the front and voila! That was my Easter style. It had two combs in front, one in back and lace along the front past the combs...no glue or anything. Just parted my hair about an inch behind my hairline all the way around to behind the ears, used some marcelle's to bump some waves into my hair, and attached the wig. That was it! I've had people tell me I was lying when I said it wasn't mine. lol

I have been reading this thread and I know there was some talk and confusion to what a quick weave is. I am the self proclaimed "quick weaver of the world" lol So I just thought I'd post some pics of me and my quick weaves. They are extremely convenient when you don't feel like doing your hair and need something quick. And like Billysbride said they are very inexpensive and easy to use. They can be a little shiny at first but as she said once you lay on it a few days you'll be good to go. They also have human hair ones that you can curl and etc for about $40 as well as "lace front" quick weaves.

The last one is Super Shiny it was when I first got it.

Ok I have a couple of questions about quick weave...Now is the glue on ur hair? Once u take the weave off do the glue mess up ur hair? I really want to try this for my BD shoot, but dont want it damaging my hair...Please help me out.

Hey, just to clarify..>QUICK WEAVES ARE NOT TRUE WEAVES! There is no glue, and no stitching. They are called "quick weaves" because of the ease of attaching them. It's basically a wig. You can get either "full cap" or "half". Half is used when you only want the length/fullness from about mid-crown to nape. Full is just like it sounds...full head. They have comb attachments front and back.

I LOVE them because they allow for a lot of versatility with changing up your look (curly, straight, long, short) without time consuming weaving or gluing and NO damage.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
