Recommended Posts

  • 2 weeks later...

I have no idea what Im going to do with my hair! My hair is thin and super fine...and get this the dear hubby to be has advised me that he would prefer, that I have no braids or weave! WHAT THE HELL?  Okay, got that off my chest! LOL

Also, he is VERY particular about who cuts his hair! Can anyone recommend a barber in MoBay?

Thanks,

Yolanda

Diva,I invited my hairdresser. We are going to sew the hair in before we leave and she just going to style it in the DR. I hope she makes it b.c Im so funny acting about my hair. My hairdresser is ordering my hair from somewhere so if I get it wet it will weave up and then I can just blow it out if I want .

Wish you luck

I'm adding some hair. This is my 1st time wearing weave so I'm excited. I really want stress free hair the 2 weeks we will be away. So I opted for Brazilian hair which is a little thicker than Virgin Indian and curls more when wet. I'm natural and my shoulder length hair is Curly when wet so this should blend nicely. My hair is shoulder length so I am going a little longer (nothing crazy down my back, lol). Wish me luck! 31 days!!!!!!!!!!

I plan on getting LA indian hair sewed in before I leave Philly and my stylist will be traveling to my wedding in DR to style my hair and do my makeup. All she asked is that I pay for her room and she would style my bridesmaids and my hair for my special day.

I can't beat that deal! 180 days to go...

I know this forum is about hair. But I wanted to get some advice from my fellow chocolate brides on DJ/Music advice.

Can any of you let me know which DJ service /company you used.  I've heard good things about Doremixx. Not a lot about Mannia and then I'm starting to hear more about Disco Movil.  Any help would be great.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
