@Misti and JonesR: I rec'd my hair today from Demure Tresses, but it looks used. It's been washed, I can smell the shampoo, but the tracks look like glue was on them. I've bought hair like this before for my last trip to Mexico (w/ the same sad appearance), and I remember it didn't hold up well when I put conditioner in it. It got matted and tangled really bad. I'm worried about this hair big time. I wanted to know how your hair looked when it arrived? I got the 12-14 in straight/wavy Indian hair.

AfricanVenus,

That doesn't sound right.  My Hair looked really nice not tattered at all! If you are unhappy email her and ask her to send you more hair and send that stuff back. Did you talk to her personally or just ordered online? I would say to call her she is a really nice girl she willl make it right

When i washed mine it help up really well. I wash it about 4-5 times and it looked the same after each wash.

Sorry about your bad experience :(

I have been in regular contact w/ the owner, and she is very nice. She was very professional about my concern. She offered to take them back and I would have to wait until she rec'd a new batch to replace them. I declined though. The reviews are really good and she said she didn't notice anything at all when she shipped it. I figure she's the expert. Won't go looking for something that isn't there. Maybe I'm used to the store-bought kind that's wrapped up all pretty and the tracks look clean. I think I was just underwhelmed by the appearance. Hopefully it'll all work out. Thanks for your reply!

Ladies,

I could really use some advice on hair :) I don't usually wear weave- but I'm planning to for the wedding. But no clue- on what type- I want to wear a side bun with curls/the messy look. I don't think a sew in will work for this, not sure if tracks glued in will be best-- and I've been reading about the clips, on here. But i don't really understand how they work.... Any advice would be great! Thanks.

A sew in can definitely work as long as its not a full sew in.  If you have them leave all of your edges out then it'll be fine for a bun.  I'm doing a side ponytail with loose curls and that's what I'm doing to do.  You could have tracks glued in, but if you plan to get in the water while your there, don't count on it holding up for a long time.  I don't know anything about the clips, so can't really help you with that! :)

I'm w/ Royal Bride. If you leave your edges out, then the look you're trying to achieve will work best w/ a sew-in. I would not advise glue due to the heat and it damages your hair. I likewise don't know anything about the clips, but there are many videos with tutorials that explain how they work. I want to swim and be active during my wedding, so a sew-in will work best for me. Ask you stylist for more options.

Hey ladies,

Ok so I really need yall (sorry I'm for GA lol) help! I have a disorder which causes my hair to thin. Sorty like male pattern baldness. So, deciding on a hairstyle for my wedding is really hard. I only have a few options I believe.

Option # 1.  A full sew-in. Now I had a sew in before but she left my front edges out before and this was not good because my hair is so thin that I always have to make sure the tracks were not showing (and a lot of the time they were) Now everyone loved my hair but no one new all the trouble I was going through.

So with a full sew-in I would not have to worry about that. However, with a full sew-in I believe I will be restricted and what I could do with my hair. For example, I would not be able to put it up in a ponytail and I will not be able to get wild (lol) during the TTD.

Option # 2. Get micros with human hair and style it in a side messy bun for the wedding.

Ladies, what do you think it best? Do you know of any other options?

Thanks so much

LaToya

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
