Grand Sunset Princess Resort

Recommended Posts

Can anyone tell me thier experience so far with the Grand Sunset Princess? We have booked our wedding date and paid our deposit and we are getting married at the GSP on August 12, 2012.  At first I was dealing with Alana and now shes not there anymore?? I know my wedding is still a long time away but its a little irritating.. I went with destination wedding because it was suppose to be "STRESS FREE" and now I can't get an email response.......? HELP!

I know how you feel. My wedding isnt till APril 2012 and things are getting irritating. Prices are changing and what i have already been told i could do are changing. But we have to remember that at the end of the day its all going to work out. Im trying to just let it be what it will be. Its going to be beutiful no matter what. What have you decided on f or your wedding plans?

My date is August 11th, 2012.   So far I just confirmed my wedding date, location, and sent over our deposit.  We haven't got into too much details about all the extra stuff.  Although, I did send Emma an email asking her is she can send me an email with the extras including dinner menus and etc. about a week ago and STILL no response! I know we still have 11 months to go but its just irritating that it takes over a week to get one email response.

My daughter is looking at doing the beach party or chill out and looking at doing a cheaper package especially now she is paying extra - the beach party is $85 and chill out $100. If you want the Gala Room you pay an extra $200 for 4 hours. I am communicating with Angelina who has been excellent and I even spoke with her yesterday. If you want to know other questions feel free, we have all the set buffet menu's as well as the package menu's. We are using the Grand Riviera Princess gazebo even though we are staying at the Sunset. Our event is in April 2012 and so far we have 50 people going with other later booking, and we are most likely using the resort photographer.

Hi Christa,

I was told absolutely no changes to the legal ceremony.  If you want to add the symbolic ceremony you need to speak with the wedding coordinator at the resort.  They wouldn't even allow something as simple as the sand ceremony to be added!

I am driving myself crazy flipping between a legal and symbolic ceremony. Does anyone know how much of the legal ceremony you can change? Will the judge add anything to it if you want without taking anything away. I really wish they had a ring ceremony and vows incorporated.

Thanks,

Christa

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
