Hey ladies! So excited to share that after so many in between decisions, we decided to grab the chill out lounge for our march 8, 2014 wedding!!!!!!!!! We are pumped :) I've seen some neat chair sashes etc in some pics and was wondering in general whether anyone is getting married at GSP in the new year and would be open to leaving behind some items like sashes etc? Our Colors are purple and teal with peacock and although we don't have any decorations or centre pieces we r bringing, it would be cool of there happened to be some items from other brides that may fit for us too! I am happy to pay you for some items as well. Hope everyone is doing well!!!!!

Congrats!! We also chose the chill out lounge and will be gettin married this November!!! I would suggest you check out MrsHK's links. She is a Canadian that lives in Playa Del Carmen and rents out adorable decor with a cool antique-y feel. Just search her and you will be able to see some of the items. I will be posting a detailed review on here after our wedding and will let you know how everything goes :)

I
Congrats on finalizing your wedding dates!!! Anyone getting married late November or early Dec? I'm getting married on Dec 3 at the sunset gazebo. I would totally leave my decor behind but I'm not sure what the resort is willing to keep for you.....
I'm getting married there on dec 6 also in the sunset gazebo! Thanks for the offer, what do you have? I ordered maracas from mexicmaracas to be sent right to the resort, besides that I'm still at a loss! Thanks Vickie

I will bring 8 square vases 5 inch x5 inch x 5 inch to put floating candles and some water with flower petals. I'm also going to buy some tealights to put throughout but those will be one-time use. Other than that I don't think we need any more Decor. I will also likely buy some $1 picture frames for table numbers and seating plan (don't want to bring anything bulky on the plane) and I will leave everything behind. I think the resort will be beautiful enough without any decor but I just love the look of candlelight everywhere. It just adds so much to the atmosphere and tealights are sooo cheap and you can buy in bulk! What's everyone else doing?

Question... does anyone know with the walkway to the Sunset Gazebo, when the red carpet is removed are there are spaces between the planks??? Trying to decide on shoes, and wondering if heels would get stuck? We have barefoot sandals for in the sand and stuff...but would like heels for the walking down the aisle part... THANKS :)

Thanks for passing my name along Amanda! MrsShorey, please send me a PM with your email address if you'd like to see the items I have for rent. I priced everything fairly, rather than through the roof like most resorts and vendors down here! :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
