When we were there, I was upgraded. The bride got ready in a normal room however. I will say, it was a lot smaller than our room, and I did offer our room to get ready in instead. However, it worked just fine.

The big difference is the seating area and the bathroom. Our bathroom was larger and had a sliding window so you could get natural light in there (for putting on makeup and such, but also so everyone can be part of the getting ready process).

So, do you have to upgrade, definitely not. Was it larger... yes. If you have a large bridal party, then I'd seriously consider it. But if it's a lot more expensive, it might not be worth it.

Thats kinda weird...:) and april 19 is my birthday....strange!!..:) We went there last year, had a blast so we decieded to go against the grain of tradition and get married there. It is a great place. Some poor comunitcation from there though, since we were there, they must have went through 3-4 wedding planners so it tough to get eveything straight. But hopefully everything goes good.

LOL too funny :) We are actually on the 21st at 4pm. I wanted the 20th at 4pm...but that time was already taken...obviously by you LOL :)

You coming from Hamilton? What packages did you choose? What day do you arrive? It would be great to meet up for a drink! Let me know if you'd like to :)

For you future GRP brides to be...I am leaving in 3 sleeps, can't wait! I would love to write a crazy review and post my pictures but I still haven't figured out how the points system works and I am pretty sure I won't be able to. If you have any specific questions, let me know and I will do my best to answer them :)

We are doing the vow renewal as well. We are getting married here tomorrow night and then we leave Saturday morning. So we should be at the resort sometime Saturday night. I am Leslie and my hubby to be is Dana. Do you guys have many people in your party?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
