They are super tasty and the guacamole is the best I have ever had!!!!!

I am pretty sure we will be too many for the gazebo, but I thought I would ask.
I think that 70 is too many for the gazebo. I was with a wedding down there in December and they had 73 guests and were told that they had to have their wedding on the beach, but it was perfect like that :)

Got price from TA today.

- Transat Holidays, departure from Quebec City airport in April

- Regency Club Deluxe Junior Suite

- 1 week for 1859$, taxes included.

Also called for pricing from AT2000

- Sunwing, departure from Quebec City airport in April

- Regular Junior Suite

- 1 week for 1895$, taxex included.

Waiting for pricing from Halifax as we are able to travel to either city before departure. Departures from Moncton, NB are really expensive.

I just saw this resort on "Rich Bride, Poor Bride".....I'm in love with it!!!!! Since that show I have put it to the top of my list. I'm curious though...if I go with the option of having my reception dinner in one of the a la cartes, what to do for a reception-party? Any thoughts from past or present Grand Sunset Princess Brides?

I just saw that episode too! Didn't it look awesome! I actually have the same question as you and I have asked Diana, the wedding planner at the resort. I am waiting for her to get back to me, so when she does, I'll let you know :)

Okay,

so I did get an answer from Diana, but it wasn't exactly clear. She said we could eat in a restaurant and do the reception on the beach or by the pool and then sent me a price list of extras. So I am still waiting for her to get back to me to clarify, but it looks like you choose what you want a la carte style...?

Open bar is $15 US per person per hour for domestic and $25 for international. Ridiculous. Oh, and the private beach dinner just jumped up to $85 a head. This may have been the icing on the cake for us, we are starting to look at other venues for the reception, and possibly other hotels to stay at, because it is just going to be too expensive for us to get married here. Too bad because it looks like such and incredible resort!

They do offer something called a Gala Dinner. If you send me your email I can email the extras list to you. Good luck!!

I just sent you a pm. I can't believe this has gone up to $85/pp for the beach party. My thing is the price for my guests is so reasonable so I'm not sure what to do. We have a quote of $1305/dble occupancy for next April....soooo good! Hmmm maybe I will have to look at the option of having a separate reception on the beach after?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
