Hi ladies!

I just got engaged this weekend but my bridesmaids and I are already in crazy planning mode! The wedding will be mid-Feb 2010 and I am totally leaning towards GSP. It seems so luxurious but is still in the budget of our friends. We'll likely upgrade to Platinum.

 

I would sooo appreciate any pics, documents, etc that you girls have received from the WC out there. I will be having about 40 guests and would like to have the ceremony on the beach, a private beach reception (and dance) and am also interested in the welcome reception/margarita party! I was thinking about bringing in my own flowers and cake (from outside of the resort) but it sounds like there are a lot of options here! Sherry, I have gotten different things from different people and I thought the slidewhow from the wedding photagrapher was sent by you! Sorry for the confusion!

 

Also, Allie, I never received an info from you, so if you sent it, would you mind sending it again? I was wanting you to send pretty much everything you mentioned earlier that you had. Anyways, they asked for payment in full, but then we agreed to pay half now and the rest 30 days before - I hope the cdn dollar starts picking up!

has anyone made alternative plans as far as getting their hair and makeup done some place other than the resort? I was wanting to look into going to playa del carmen the day of the wedding with my bridesmaids to get out hair done together because I had heard some negative things about the hair lady at the resort. Any thoughts?

So ladies, Im having trouble because I still havent been able to get a hold of the beach canopy pics.... Im not really feeling the gazebo at this point and wanted the ceremony in the sand anyway...i know its extra but Id love to have it I think instead of the gazebo or arch....

 

Anyone have any pics of the beach set-ups that are available?
