I was just going to send Demarys an email. I'm wondering if I pick the arch if it can be done in my colors and if we can pick white chair covers instead of the off white in the pics. Does anyone know the answer to this?

Courtney, if you havn'e emailed her yet will you ask about what our options are for other chair back colors too, besides the white? I would really appriciate it! I want mine to be the same color as my BM dresses, so I will probably end up bringing my own. If you dont mind asking I would really appriciate it!

Also, Courtney and Sophia, I emailed you all the wedding info I have. (and my save the date proof for you Colleen!)

Hi all!

Courtney - I'm definitely curious about the arch and chairs as well so when you find out, it would be great if you could post that info to the entire group. Thank you!

In terms of the reception afterwards, I'm thinking we'll wind up doing the private beach party. It's more expensive than I want, but I feel a little stuck; it sounds like there are standard dinner times of maybe 6 and 9:30?? We're getting married at 5pm so 6pm feels early for dinner and there's no way we're doing a 9:30. PLUS, I read that you're only allowed to stay at the restaurant for 1.5 hours when I definitely want dancing to follow the meal. So...it appears that the beach party will be the way that we go. Do you guys know if there are any other options?

In terms of our first dance, I'm not sure when it will happen, but we're dancing to Big and Rich's (country band :)) "Lost In The Moment". AND THEN...we're gonna bust out and do a fun, silly dance to their "Save A Horse, Ride A Cowboy", haha. :) We're pretty goofy so that fits us well and I think it'll be pretty entertaining for our guests :)

Since we're getting specific, do you guys know what you're going to do for your "theme"? Seashells seems natural and chic, but I'm just trying to figure out if there are other good options. Or if/how you plan on marking/numbering your tables? I'm thinking old-school family photos with a typed story next to it, but again, I'm not all that creative so I want to pick everyone's brain.

Ok I think that's it for now. I can't tell you all how relieved I am to feel this excited. Before we had the place and date, I was like "let's just get this damn thing over w/!!", ya know. It felt stressful and teh whole point of having a destination wedding is to reduce teh stress levels! So I'm really happy that now I'm excited to plan. So for those of you still trying to pick a place/date, don't worry...it gets much, much more fun. :)

I'll definitely post the info about the arch when I hear back from her. I'm not sure where we're having our first dance. I've heard that alot of couples there have their first dances on the stage in the lobby where the band plays. I'm even considering doing the dances on the beach after the ceremony. Collen we have the same first dance song!! As far as themes I'm using seashells and starfish. I've ordered a bunch of starfish wine stoppers for favors at the reception. I'm also trying to find out how they set up the tables in the restaurants linens etc? I'll let you all know what I hear about that too.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
