Hello everyone,

I am getting married at the grand sunset princess April 15th 2013, i was schedule to have my wedding at the sunset gazebo at 16h00, but a mistake was made by my coordinator and the hotel never received her email so now i will have my wedding at 14h00 because its the only time left. She said that i could get the 17th but the problem is that i made OTT bags for my guest with personnalized items and on all of them the date of the wedding is april 15th thats one of the biggest reason, why i can't change my date.

The problem is now i have two hours inbetween that i have no idea what my guest will do !!!!

Any of you have suggestions ???

I have my reception at the chill out lounge, if any one of you have picture of your wedding at this location could you sent i to my email : [email protected]

Thank you

Hello again brides! I am getting married here on May 15, 2014. I requested Aracelli to be our coordinator since we met with her last year. Can anyone please send me photos? I have decided to bring two photographers from Vancouver BC as it would be easier for us to do so, instead of hiring someone from Mexico. Please send photos at [email protected]. Thanks

Hi brides, I'm getting married at the grand riviera princess on the 17th April 13. There's only going to be 6 of us so I have chosen to use the on site photographers. Did any of you use them because I would like to see some of their work or do you know where I can view them. Many thanks x

Hi Ladies!

After a long process of planning, my fiance and I decided on the Grand Riviera Princess and will be getting married July 2, 2013! We have a group of around 40 (including kids) coming down for 1 week with us (we are all from Toronto). We chose the Royalty Package which includes dinner at one of the a la carte restaurants and then the private cocktail beach reception after.

I'm still trying to decide on the restaurant - does anyone have insight or feedback? Also, I know there are set menus with the restaurants - what happens if you choose a set menu that has meat and you have people that are vegetarians? Is it possible to have options for both vegetarians and non vegetarians?

Also, I've heard the DJ isnt that great - does the DJ bring his own speakers? Or is it just a dock that he uses? Are we better off bringing our own dock and music? We really enjoy our loud music so I'm wondering if the dock would be loud enough?

Lastly - does anyone have pictures of their private beach reception? I hvaent seen very many but I'd really like to.

Any other brides going to be around during that time?

:D So excited!!

Question - anyone know how much the lit up dance floor is that goes on the beach?

Amanda - this is exactly what we did (minus the dance floor) - the Chill Out Lounge and Sunset Gazebo will EXCEED your expectations I guarantee it!

Hey there!

I can provide a little bit of insight (I think) =)

The Fondue restaurant was OK at best. The Japanese Restaurant was very good and same with the Italian. If you let your wedding coordinator know that there are vegetarians, they usually do everything they can do accommodate.

We had the DJ for ours and we had a set playlist that I made and he played everything from start to finish and dead on with the flower toss/first dance/garter toss songs. So we actually had a really good experience with him.

We had all of our music on our iPhone (there is a wedding DJ app you can download and it was honestly a lifesaver!)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
