Thanks so much everyone! It truly was such a wonderful day and more than I could have ever dreamed of! I'm so anxious to get the "real" pictures!!!!

Is that a Sandals made bouquet?
I went the route of getting an artificial bouquet because I wanted something that I could keep. All of my flowers were artificial and everyone was shocked because they looked and felt so real.

We are eloping and I think the reef terrace would be a perfect place to get married as well.
All of the sites were beautiful, but what drove us (and, if I remember correctly, most of the brides on this board who have gotten married there) to pick that location is that it is so secluded compared to the others. It was kind of funny though--we were doing our first dance on the deck/patio of the piano bar and I looked down and all of these people were watching us from the pool below!

BTW - were you wearing hot pink sandals in your wedding pics?
Yup! I found these hot pink wedges that I just had to have! I got down the "aisle" and the first thing John said to me was "nice flip flops!" cheesy.gif

Did you see any weddings on the beach?
The only other wedding I actually saw was in the pier gazebo...I know there were a few others while there, and at least one of them was in the Reef Terrace Gazebo where we got married. The beach is really small (I thought people were exagerrating, but I must admit I was somewhat disappointed when I did get to see it) so I'm not quite sure where they'd set the wedding up if there was one on the beach.

I was alittle disappointed by the small beach too but everything else makes up for it! I think having it sectioned off like they do kinda gives it the illusion of being smaller. When you look at the three different sections it really isn't tiny. The couple of time we actually got in the ocean we hung out on the sandy side. That was where the weddings were. Talk about not private at all! They were held right beside the Italian resturant about 15 feet from swimmers. I felt like I was imposing on someone wedding! It made me feel very uncomfortable!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
