Is it weird that I don't remember the colour of my dress!? I haven't seen it since March... It was definitely not pure white though. I tan well but I'm also blonde, so I wanted to stay away from anything too white.

Great question about the outlets. I hadn't even thought of that! When are you getting married, cpezuk?

Ladies getting married next year:

Have you been able to book your ceremony time? I want to get on booking a photographer, but I'm waiting to hear back from Rocio to confirm my ceremony time! I emailed her originally a few weeks ago, then again last week and I haven't had a response.

Hey Manda123,

We have very close wedding dates, mine is January 9, 2012. I am having the same problem, I am not getting a response from Rocio. I even tried calling the wedding department today twice but no one answers. I really want my day to be confirmed already so I can send out invites and book everything else. Hope she responds to both of us soon.

When meeting with Rocio what do you all go over? Do I wait to pick the cake/flowers at this meeting?

When we met with Erika (one of the WCs), we went over every piece of the wedding to include flowers, cake, decoration, timing for events on the day of, coordinated transportation (which didn't work out as planned), music for pre-ceremony and post-ceremony (we brought an iPod with all of our music), and just anything special we were doing (we did the whiteboard guest book and Erika made sure that was set up somewhere for us.

Before going down, I did discuss flowers to make sure I could get what I wanted (the flowers for the guys we had to get shipped in because we wanted certain flowers that were not in season when we were there) and I asked if we could do a two tier cake because there was a certain cake topper I wanted to get but it had to be two tiers in order to be able to use it.  Otherwise, we discussed very little up until about a month...maybe two weeks, before the wedding.

They had such a large assortment of options, pink, white, purple (like eggplant, which was perfect for us!), blue...  they seemed to have every option I could think of.  Are you thinking about getting a non-traditional color for the dresses??  I don't like the "non-traditional" word, but I don't want to say like "weird" or "different" and make it sound bad!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
