Meg, I really don't think you could go wrong either way!

Erick's pics. are also beautiful. Do they give you the prints AND the disk with all your shots on there?

And yes, with MTM you do get two photgraphers... Lincoln and Lori.

What time is your ceremony? What times are you planning on having the photgs. there for?

Yeah, I think you are right.. you can't really go wrong! I am not sure if you get the prints and all the photos on a disk... I will have to look into that, good thinking.

My ceremony is at 3pm, and I was thinking of booking the photographer 230 - 530, or 2 - 6 depending on how long the package is that I pick. I definitely would rather have pictures of the getting ready part rather than the reception, if I have to choose one or the other. What about you - what time is your ceremony and when are u going to book your photographer for?

We have a 2:00 ceremony time, and are booking the photographer to come @ 1:00. I also wanted getting ready time.; some of the best photos I've seen of weddings are before the ceremony! Sucks that we have so much time in between (both of us). We are going for an 8 hour package, but I am sure we will not be taking photos the whole time in between before the reception starts @ 7:00. Debated on not having them for that whole time, but decided that photos are #1 for us (me, really) so went wioth a longer package.

Meg,

We used Claudia's company for our wedding. Claudia was taken, so I got Citlalli. Her photos looked awesome online. She actually came with 2 assistants. One was her sister, and the other her fiance. Her sister was also taking photos (citalli came up to my room to take "getting ready" shots, while the sister went to take photos of guests and the pre-ceremony stuff). When we were getting our "posed" shots Citlalli was taking the photos while the sister was doing the lighting. Her fiance was great too. He carried my flowers and shoes (wear comfy shoes ladies!!) and was super sweet. They stayed late to catch our cake cutting and boquet toss. I would recommend them based on how awesome they were to work with - I didn't feel awkward at all. Can't comment on the quality of the photos yet, but will keep you posted :)

Sounds like all the photog's from Claudia's team are great. I had no idea they brought assistants too, that's great. I just emailed her and told her I would like to book!

Can't wait to see your pics Tammi!! Shouldn't be long now. A couple here in Revelstoke we know got married the first week in December and they already have all their printed pics from Claudia. Seems like she's pretty quick with sending them out.

Not sure why there are faces on my last post....lol...they look confused...well I guess that is how I have been feeling lately. After catching up on all your post you all seem to have it altogether....I feel that I need to get on it...lol...

I had another question I forget to add on my last post... does anyone know if you can have a buffet with the private reception or do you have to pick one meal. I just know I have some picky eaters coming and I know it would better to have a selection of food then one dish.....I guess they could go grab a bit somewhere else....

Thanks:)

Hi shortcake18,

I think I can help with a few questions. I will be getting married there on the 14th of April.

Yes, you will get the time before you go. Location.....not too sure I haven't talked about it with Rocio yet, but I think it all depends on what you want. Although I have heard about brides changing their mind once they get there.

With the private reception you get to pick ONE menu and there are 15 different menus to choose from which usually include salad and or soup, appetizer, entree and dessert which range from $50-$60 per plate. I found it difficult only picking one and still do have people that I know are not going to be happy our choice, but I can't make everyone happy escpecially when you have over 40 people coming. You can switch items from a different menu like appetizers, desserts but Rocio said there may be additional charges. I picked a menu but did not like the dessert so I asked for a different one from a different menu.

Are you going to have over 40 people at your reception cause if you have less you have different options than the private reception.

Shortcake- From what I understand, everyting the crazycat wrote is correct. If you have a private recepiton you have to choose one menu item for all.

Also, I would confirm a ceremony time sooner rather than later. They tried to give us an 11:00AM time originally. For locations for your ceremony though, they only have one wedding going on at a time, so you will have the choice when you get there. The only location you would have to confirm beforehand is for your reception- private or otherwise. There are only two locations for a private reception as well.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
